Decent headphones but the enhanced sound wasn't all that great neither was the bass.

They are pretty decent headphones. They lack bass but overall they're pretty good and the mic works great. Everyone can hear me fine

Over priced headphones. Sound quality is not the best, lacking in bass. 7.1 virtual surround sound??? How is that possible with only two speakers??

Not the best headset out there for this price.

I've gone through three of these, one of which was defective. The sound is good in terms of the highs and mids but the bass is sorely lacking, despite having 50mm drivers. The virtual surround sound is great, and while I've played some of the games that supports the 3D audio, I barely can tell the difference. I would say wait until these are at $100

These are great headphones and I use them for my PS4 and on my Xbox one with the headset pick attachment. They have great surround sound, but lack bass. They fit really well and have great battery life. Seem well built and that they aren't going to break easily.

The gold series is far better. Did not deliver on anything that was claimed. Still no bass and not enough volume. They dropped the ball on this one.

Seemed like an alright product. 0 bass. My last ones were the ps elite plus and I loved the extra bass. I was dissapointed with no bass. Other than that they seemed good

Bought this headset as I wanted a surround sound wireless headset to work on my PS4 Pro. The Platinum is definitely nicer in build quality than the Gold model but it just doesn't stay connected to my PS4 Pro. The usb dongle barely fits on the front USB ports and even then it disconnected every 5 minutes. When it did work the sound was underwhelming and lacked any bass despite touting 50mm drivers. May work for other PS4 models but sucks on the Pro

I play a lot of COD and they work perfect. I recomend using the preset #1 for cod because #2 has too much bass and you can't hear footsteps. These feel very sturdy too. Way better upgrade than the PS4 Gold and a lot better looking. I price matched and got them 25 dollars cheaper. Love them!

First I will say that in my opinion this headset sounds better than the original version of the ps golds. The platinums have a much more full sound. Whenever you would turn the VSS on the golds, it seemed turn the bass completely off. Not on the plats though. The issue is that I could not keep these paired. They would cut out every few minutes and would reset the sound settings every single time. So... I brought them back. If you get them, I hope you have better luck than I

I bought this headset when if was first released to replace my aging Turtle Beach dpx21. I was looking for something lightweight and wireless with good sound. It felt good on my head and looked sweet but the sound didn't seem as good as my dpx21 which I purchased years ago and is being held together by tape. On my old headset I could adjust the bass and chat volume easily. This one has small volume/chat buttons on the sides. That took some getting used to. To me the bass is lacking and the mic on it is not that good. Why can't they make this BT so I can pair it with other devices? If I want to listen to music thru it on my ipad or phone I have to plug it in. I just decided that for the price point, this headset just wasn't worth the value. I'm sure others may find the headset fine but I think for what it costs Sony could've done more.

I was excited that they finally came out with a new headset. I figured maybe they'd resolved some issues the ps gold had (ie: hinges breaking, battery life, range). I figured maybe they'd listen to their customers and offer something we'd all enjoy... I was wrong, I regret upgrading to these. My PS Gold headset was honestly better in many aspects. Yes the bass isn't great, yes the simulated surround isn't great but it just worked. Simple plug it in and it worked (most of the time) With this headset I've had multiple issue with disconnection and microphone not working. I've tried repairing them, shutting them off and on but I usually have to remove the usb adapter and reinstall it to get them to work. This is my experience on the PS4 Pro, i'm not sure if others are having similar issues. The audio is a little better, the mic isn't really any better and the volume is fairly low compared to ps gold. The only mode the volume seems to be loud enough in is the Uncharted setting. The PS gold had it's short comings but overall more reliable than these. I prefer my ASTRO A50 sound quality but it's a hassle switching from optical to hdmi when I want to take advantage of my sound system. Maybe they'll get better, but right now i'm not impressed.

Could be better. Too expensive for what you get.

I really wanted to like these headphones, I've been waiting for them for months. I wanted the simplicity of connecting something and using them, with the surround sound and great quality mic, however after wearing them for a two days straight. I realized that they needed a lot more to be platinum grade headphones. First of all, they are uncomfortable, a lot, I'm an adult and my head it's not that big, so it's not like I was pushing them to the limit, I'm thinking it has to do with the design because the materials are high quality and soft. They are designed in a way where the earcups are fixed, they don't move or adjust to the shape of your head, so when you put them on, they push up against your head. I could only have them on for about 10 minutes before removing them. I can't really say how good the Mic is, my friends said they heard me clear and better than then old PX5's that I had. Sound..... gosh, although they are better than the gold edition and you can customize the audio, it was extremely lacking that boom from the bass, which is surprising because I've another set of Sony headphones (xb950bt) which are for my mobile, and they have much more bass in normal mode than the platinum ones. I just felt that it needed a lot more and I was paying too much for what I was getting. I decided to look for more options and found that bestbuy sells the turtle beach 800 refurbished, for much less, so I ordered those and compared. The difference is night and day, with the turtle beach coming out on top on every category, they even have a charging cradle which the platinums don't have, and can connect to Bluetooth so you can answer calls. A much better deal in my books. I tried the 3D sound with uncharted, but honestly it sounds much better with the 800 elite
