Decided to get the standard ps4, as the pro does not have a true 4k player. Great product.

Pros: Does everything; streaming, gaming, broadcasting, community, and even has good deals on downloaded games (better than in stores in some cases)! Cons: None so far The only difference between this system and the Pro version is 4K capabilities. If you don't have a 4K TV or don't plan on getting one, don't bother going with the Pro.

I really like the controller upgrade. It's easier to type. I didn't like the fact that it doesn't play 4K movies : @@@@@@@@

So I primarily got the PS4 for exclusive games (both already out and upcoming) and I will say this; Sony, you've made some solid exclusives. The console itself is sleek and small. Internal power supply is nice and graphics wise, solid console. Horizon Zero Dawn, Until Dawn, and Bloodborne (just to name a couple) look gorgeous. Now I will list my cons. Lack of 4K Blu-Ray, exceedingly loud disc drive, and certain missing ports are my downfalls. I am primarily an Xbox user and being that I just bought the One X, it is going to most likely stay my primary console. However, Sony has done a rock solid job on this console and I definitely respect them and this console is exactly what I bought it for.

This is the slim PS4 (model# CUH 2115B) and is not bundled with a game. It cost $200 (Mid November sale price) which is half the price of the original released in 2013 but with twice the hard drive space (1tb). This PS4 is light (4.63lbs). It has only 2 USB ports (located in the front of the unit), one HDMI, one Ethernet and one PS4 camera port at the back. Note, it has no optical port (which the original and PS4 Pro have). The package consists of the system, one dualshock 4 controller, one hdmi high speed cable, one single ear/microphone piece, one usb charge cable, a quick start guide and safety manual and a PS store free trial booklet. PROS: $199 and with some really good games frequently going on sale this season (Barely a year old AAA games going for $19.99-49.99 when they are usually sold at $59.99) you can get a great bargain. This system can do HDR. So, if you have an HDR capable TV/monitor, you will be very impressed by HDR capable games. Note, it cannot do 4K (that can be done on the PS4 PRO). I personally find HDR more impressive than 4K. It can play all PS4 games. So, for those unaware, even if the game says "PS4 PRO Enhanced", it will still work on this system and the older system. It comes with a 1tb HDD (twice as much as the original system). This HDD can also easily be upgraded without voiding the warranty. Easy set-up and nice user interface. I think it is impressive how easy it is to set up a new PS4 and get going. Once set up, the user-interface is quite friendly. CON: One major thing that I would say takes away from this system is the lack of an optical port. For people who do not like using or cannot use HDMI ARC, the optical port has always been a solution. There are however some affordable HDMI/optical converters that could work though. Another possible negative is that there are only 2 USB ports available. But for such a light system that still delivers great quality gaming and APPS, I would not knock it for this. Do note though: The PS4 PRO has an extra USB port at the back which makes connecting the PSVR processor a lot easier (depending on your setup). Conclusion: I use PS Vue for my cable TV solution and it is superb. I wanted to be able to watch soccer in another room and could not help but to jump at this deal. Its like having a cable box in another room without having to pay outrageous rental fees. While still being able to play games and stream music/movies. PS4 slim vs PS4 pro: If you have plans on getting a 4K TV with HDR and do not have a PS4, then you may want to also look at the PS4 Pro. The stand alone system is currently going for $350 in other stores this season and Bestbuy matches its competitors. You would most likely watch 4K and HDR TV shows on apps via your smart tv. But if your TV does not carry some apps, the PS4 Pro most likely would. But beware that the PS4 pro cannot play 4K discs. It can only stream 4K. As for gaming, its subjective. Some people do not see a great difference in 4K games vs 1080P games). But many do see a difference with HDR turned off or on in games. So, if you are of the latter inclination, the PS4 slim would be a great option. PSVR: I have only tried PSVR on PS4 pro. I will compare both and update in the comments section.
