Using the PS5 controller to run your apps is so troublesome because you can't shut the controller off like the XBOX SX after your selection. The remote would have gotten 5 stars if you could access your tv's menu functions other than sound and channel selection. Still, for using to view your apps (like I do, and i have all of them instead of cable) it is a godsend especially with the quick launch buttons... Overall, make your ps5 that much more to useful. Highly recommend.

You wouldn't think you might want one of these but it has been so nice not having to pull out the nicer, more expensive controllers to do non-gaming stuff. No longer have to worry about a controller getting left on the couch and messed up or falling or whatever. Very nice.

This remote is a must have for heavy streamers. Aside from gaming, I use my PS5 for Streaming movies and TV shows. This remote makes that experience a heck of a lot easier and smoother. It’s honestly not a necessity but more of a welcomed addition. Personally I love it and feel it’s well worth the $30 dollars. Build quality is good and works as you would expect. If you’re a big streamer then this is a must have for PS5 owners.

I was hesitant at first cause i was asking myself why i needed another remote when i already have a smart tv. Well, i feel more comfortable using the playstation remote because it connected to my tv with ease, and it is way more simple to use than a standard tv remote. Sometimes the remote disconnects but i believe thats because i got a ps5,router,modem,computer,tv that all have wi-fi and the signals mix up.. but overall its great.

Great addition to ps5 setup. Quick access to Netflix, Disney+, Spotify and Hulu are great.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He seems to love the functionality of it. Uses it on multiple TVs & the PS5. The only drawback, it would’ve been nice if they would’ve had 1-2 of the bottom buttons as programmable for optional apps. He only uses 2 of those & the other 2 are irrelevant (at least to him). Changing batteries is an absolute chore as well! Not a very user friendly design on the battery compartment.

If you use your ps5 as the gateway to your entertainment this remote is a must! It makes navigating apps like Netflix and hulu a breeze, and it helps save your controller battery. I would recommend this to anyone needing a solid remote.

Good but I wish it was not a Spotify button or open to program your own shortcut. Rewind/pause/forward buttons are duplicates of the cross button, you can mistake the back button for the rewind. Sometimes you need to press PS button twice. But the design of the remote is aesthetically good otherwise.

I picked this up on a whim as I generally don't like using the standard console remotes for media viewing. This thing ended up being a bit cooler than expected, and by turning on the console with the PS button on this remote, it will take you to the media screen by default. It also interfaces with smart TVs so you can use volume controls without your TV's default remote. Nothing truly essential, but nice to have. I would recommended it for anyone who's using a PS5 as the primary device for streaming services, things like YouTube or Twitch, and anyone who's using it as a DVD/Blu-Ray/UHD player. My only complaint would be that it takes 2 AA batteries, which are not included, instead of charging via USB-C like the standard PS5 remote does.
