A great purchase! I was tired of using my DualSense controller to navigate streaming apps and draining the battery, so this was the perfect solution. The remote is lightweight and comfortable to hold, and the dedicated buttons for streaming services like Netflix and YouTube are a huge plus. It's so much easier to kick back and enjoy a movie without fumbling with a bulky controller. The fact that it can also control my TV's volume and power is just the cherry on top. I purchased the Sony PlayStation 5 Media Remote to replace my Fire Stick, and overall, it has proven to be a convenient option. The remote is lightweight and easy to use. After following the included setup instructions, I was able to successfully control both my TV and Sonos soundbar, which was a major benefit. However, there are several drawbacks. The navigation can be challenging, as all the buttons are flush with the body of the device. I often find myself double-checking the button I intend to press before doing so. Additionally, the remote frequently loses connection, as if it goes into sleep mode. To wake it, I must press the PS button. Unfortunately, when it reconnects, it no longer controls the volume. This requires me to turn off the TV and turn it back on to regain volume control. Lastly, the placement of the volume buttons takes some time to get used to, as it is not the most intuitive design.Navigation is difficult all of the buttons are flush with the body of the device. i constantly have to double check which button I am using before I press it. The device also loses connection quite frequently. Its as if the remote goes to sleep. To wake it one must press the PS button I have found that when it wakes up it no longer controls the volume this makes me have to turn off the TV and turn it back on to regain this functionality. The placement of the volume buttons is also somethig to get used to.

Purchased the remote so that we could avoid using the controller to stream from Netflix/Disney+/YT. We have children in the home so we also wanted to avoid the controller getting knocked off the couch and etc. We love the remote, it's wonderful when it works and serves its purpose. But we had to knock off a star because it goes through batteries so quickly - in our experience. We've swapped the battery out 3-4 times and we've only owned it for about 5 months now. We're not using it everyday either, only 3 times a week (if that). We have never had to go through so many batteries for a remote. Maybe we got a dud, but this is our experience. If this remote could be remade into a rechargeable one, we would buy instantly. Overall would still recommend it because it does everything it's supposed to do when it's fully juiced and has probably saved us from buying a new controller a few times.

I wanted to control my PS5 without having to turn the controller on. This works perfectly for that. It works really well. It's a good size it feels good to hold it. Doesn't take up a lot of space. I'm glad I bought it because it's convenient to use and I watch TV through my PS5 so it's great controlling the volume and the channels without draining the battery on my PS5 controller.

Excellent media remote and it can control my tv as well which is great. A little on the smaller side if you have larger than average hands, but it functions properly well, even if a little uncomfortable with some of the button placements. The PS button is a little too low for my liking, but it isn't deal breaking. It's great quality and durable. I've dropped it a few times already and it's still working and no visible scratches to be seen.

I had to get the media remote to use with the Playstation 5. My son uses the controller, but to use the disc player and the apps, I need the remote. It is smaller than I expected which fits my hand better. It is also handy with the dedicated Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and Spotify buttons.

I love this thing! Control the PS5 without draining your controllers! The quick jump buttons for Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, and Disney are nice as well. Plus it controls the volume without me having to find my TV remote. The only thing I wish you could do is change the shortcut buttons to whatever apps you want but that's a minor complaint. This is definitely worth the money I paid.
