The Sony PlayStation 5 Media Remote initially caught my eye with its sleek, futuristic design that matches the PS5 console beautifully. It's compact, comfortable to hold, and the button layout is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through media with ease. However, my experience with the remote has been a mix of enjoyment and frustration. The biggest issue I've faced is with connectivity. The remote occasionally loses connection with the console, which interrupts the flow of using it, especially during movie nights or when browsing through different streaming services. Reconnecting it sometimes requires a full console reboot, which is inconvenient. On the positive side, when it works, it works well. The dedicated buttons for popular streaming services are a nice touch, providing quick access. Battery life is also commendable, and the remote is efficient in waking up the PS5 from sleep mode. In conclusion, while the Sony PS5 Media Remote offers a sleek design and user-friendly interface, the intermittent connectivity issues are a significant drawback. It's a decent choice if you're invested in the PlayStation ecosystem, but be prepared for potential interruptions.

This remote rocks. It controls the PS5 perfectly so I don't have to take my game controller out all the time. This makes it so much easier to use the multimedia functions of the PS5. The controls are so easy to figure out. The only complaint I have is the Playstation button is on the bottom and it should be on the top where it is easier to find it. The pre assigned buttons are so easy to use, The blue ray player controls are so much easier to use than trying to figure out on the game controller. This is a must for anyone that has a PS5.

Easy to use and very intuitive. Matches ps5 design and color scheme. Only issue would be the need for 2 batteries as opposed to charging.

Actually really liked the thing. Sony has taken a good step towards putting out a pretty good OEM product at a fair price. Normally I would expect the original manufacturer to sell overpriced accessories but they actually got it right. I bought the remote and the charging station and both are good quality, work without issues, and are priced good. Only con is at night I wish they had put a backlight in the remote because it’s hard to see the buttons when it’s dark. But you can pair the media remote with a smart tv and that way you only need 1 remote control. So no controller, and no tv remote. All buttons work for both the tv and ps5. Recommend!

Very pleased with this remote. I enjoy watching movies on my PlayStation 5 but using the controller as a remote would drain the battery. This remote is just what you need to watch movies and be able to navigate your PlayStation with out draining the power of your controller. It has all features of a my standard remote and even has quick buttons for streaming services. Super convenient well worth buying.

High quality product by Sony. The controller's overall feel is nice with its textured back and the buttons have a satisfying mushy yet confident "clicky" feel. Pairs easily by accessing PS5's system settings and holding two buttons (PS logo and the hamburger icon) to pair the item. What's even better is that it effortlessly synced with my TV so I can now use it to control my volume and turn on/off my TV. Overall, solid and quality product for the price.

I bought this remote because I use my console to watch various streaming services. This makes it easy since you can turn your console on and off with the remote without needing to get a controller out. The controller is small and works very well and is extremely easy to use as well.

Omg i love this remote, easy to use. You don’t need to waste the battery on your controller while you want to watch a movie or use a steaming service so that’s great. A lot easier to rewind or fast forward you don’t have to worry about accidentally rewinding or skipping like you do when using a controller. I know I’m not the only one that finds a movie or show to watch on my ps5 and then I set my controller down then it starts to rewind or fast forward. Or you forget you left your controller somewhere and bump into it finding it and you skip ahead or again rewind/fast forwards

Awesome remote. It's the perfect size and weight. Not to clunky or plasticky. It looks sleek and stylish. The buttons all feel solid and have a 'clicking' feel when you press them, which is great. They don't feel sticky or cheap. The only negative is that I wish you could customize the shortcut buttons. Not everyone uses Netflix, Disney, Spotify, or YouTube. It would be better if your favorite app could be a shortcut. Not the biggest deal though. Overall, it's an awesome remote. I've switched to using my PS5 for streaming TV mostly because of it.

Purchased this remote at Black Friday pricing as an add on for an Xmas gift for my spouse. She had no idea she was receiving this or the PS5. What a surprise! This remote is great for the ease of accessing the apps. However, surprise! It also controls the features on the television, which i wasn't aware of. This added bonus was absolutely perfect and makes the entertainment experience even better!

I enjoy using ps5 remote, way better than using the controller itself. Easily paried with ps5 system, best functions like voice activation. All buttons work properly. Fits in my hand easily. I would say the only issue i have is the remote is sleek, i would recommend buying a cover or grip for the remote.

I owned the ps4 and the controllers always would skip scenes or fast forward if I accidentally placed it down too hard or bumped it. So with the Ps5 I knew I wanted a media remote especially with how sleek and clean it looks. The ps5 controllers do not trigger like the ps4 controllers but I am glad I bought this remote. It can control the ps5, tv volume and power for both. It can connect to your tv, smart tv or not. It is really nice to use one remote to control everything. It is also really nice to use this while my game controllers charge.

My grandson love this multitasking remote. it is very easy to work.its light weight and it’s a pretty white.

I had a hard time deciding to purchase this media remote because I wasn’t sure how much I would use it. After receiving it, I actually really like the design and feel of it. We still watch blue ray movies so it will be nice to use this as opposed to using battery life on the actual controller. I think my favorite feature is the quick launch Disney Plus button they have on the remote. Can’t wait until I console is released!

Ofncourse you dont NEED thisbtemote but when you just want to jse your ps5 for cisuak media, its really handy and makes the experience smooth and seamless. It also controls yourbtv volume and power and is small and compact. Im glad i purchased.

The reason I enjoy having this is because for moments when I just want to use the PS5 to watch a movie or streaming apps, this works perfectly there's just no need for the PS5's gaming controller. It connects to the TV as well so it is all I need in those moments. A small remote for one hand use like most remotes anyway.
