Like I said, you have to have them if you want to purchase DLC on the PlayStation store. I prefer buying them at Best Buy rather than having a credit card number on file with Sony. It's just safer that way and as a bonus, I earn points on my purchase. A true win win.

Great gift for my grandson, while it is a gift card, it is exactly what he wanted without him having to go back to thee store and purchase his gift, as he would have done with a regular GIFT Card. He was able to use it right away on his games.

Gift cards are always a great option. The PlayStation gift card would load manually through my PS4 however I was able to get it to go through the app.
