Fun but bad controllers, just go buy a quest

I loved the picture quality and the haptic feedback on the controllers. However I was unfortunate enough to lose out on the controller lottery. They wouldn’t properly work in game, making it impossible for me to play any games other than pistol whip. I spent hours on Reddit trying to fix the issue over 3 days to no avail. Ultimately I took it back and got a quest 3s instead which I eventually upgraded to a quest 3. Love the quest 3! Works flawlessly and has more versatility. If you’re considering this do yourself a favor and buy the quest 3 or 3s instead.

Also got the five but sadly the cord takes al title to get used to. However it has better graphics and speed of use compared to the other popular vr set up. I have both and this has been used more. Very nice with its ability to custom fit to your face and light to wear. Controls are actually easy to use. Wish they had 1/4 stars because I would give it a 4 3/4

MUST READ FIRST: the PSVR2 has had a really bad quality review process from Sony and there are MANY people online reporting of issues with one or both of the controllers not working in games (but does work in the PS5 dashboard). The problem stems from the trigger, one of the buttons, or joysticks. The controller thinks one of them is already pressed (partially or fully), so when you go into a game the game thinks you are already pulling the trigger or pressing the button. Do NOT try to fix the issue with the recommended remedies online (factory reset, turn off/on, update firmware, etc). They will not work or will only give temporary reprieve. You will be wasting your time trying to fix it. Just return it immediately and exchange for a new one.
The PS5 PSVR2 has been really fun to play with. I spend most of my time playing in Beat Saber. The tracking works really well. The camera on the headset that lets you see the room you are in is a super low resolution and black-white only, so you can really only use it to find out where you are in the room in case you moved or find the controllers without taking the headset off. Most games give me motion sickness if I try to use the joystick on the controllers to move and I have to resort to teleporting to get around. Jurassic Park for some reason doesn't give me motion sickness though and I can run around freely in it. The game library is pretty weak in comparison to other headset options, but I refused to give money to Facebook. You really want to try and get it on sale though for it to feel like you are getting your money's worth. The lenses are really good to look at and I don't ever feel like I am straining my eyes. Because I do have nearsightedness, I will occasionally have to adjust the headset to see better. I have worn this for well over an hour before my nose starts to hurt.

This is bar-none the best entry-level VR headset there is, and while it does suffer from a slightly neutered catalog the price you’re paying for the services rendered far outweigh any others - yes the valve index has a far more interesting and advanced control system. But the display on the PSV2 is stunning, and its set-up is seamless. When this released at $600, it was tremendously overpriced. Now, at $350? You couldn’t make a better budget-friendly choice.
Or you simply love Sony as a company - and if that’s the case you’d be wise to pair your PS5pro with their a95 series television.
And in the hopes I get both gift cards they owe me (I’m not forgetting what you did to me with that fridge. It took months to get here and you promised) Just as I promise You’d be most wise to purchase this entire list from Best-Buy to get some kind of deal I’d bet they offer + members.

Amazing! So much fun! The cord hasn't really been bothersome. Playing GT7 with the VR2 headset, a steering wheel, pedals, & a shifter makes it feel like you are actually in the car racing. My family has had so much fun with this VR2 headset so far. The Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle makes this deal even more worth it! Thank you Best Buy for always having the best deals & financing options. If you are on the fence about this one I don't think you will regret buying it.

This bundle is an absolute game-changer. The PlayStation VR2 is incredibly immersive—everything feels crisp, smooth, and so real it’s hard to believe you’re still in your living room. Horizon Call of the Mountain is the perfect intro to this next-gen VR. The visuals are stunning, the controls are responsive, and the gameplay is both intense and beautiful.
Setup was way easier than I expected, and once you’re in, you’re in. It’s one of the most cinematic and engaging gaming experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Huge shoutout to Best Buy for fast shipping and flawless packaging. If you’re thinking about upgrading your VR game, this is 100% the bundle to go with.

Up until this Friday, VR was just another tech buzzword to me—I hadn't paid it much mind. But on a whim, I decided to give it a shot and see what the fuss was about. The experience was nothing short of revelatory. The immersion VR offers is unparalleled; it genuinely feels like you're stepping inside the game. The landscapes, the sounds, the interactions—all crafted to trick your senses into believing you're in another reality. It's an experience that's hard to describe with words alone. If you've been on the fence about VR, or if it's never even been on your radar, I urge you to try it. It has completely transformed my views on virtual reality and the potential it holds for gaming and beyond. Don't miss out on this—it's a game-changer.

Purchased PS VR2 for my daughter as a christmas gift. Worked perfectly for the first 4 days. Was amazed at how great the experience and graffics are. Unfortunately, on day 5, both controllers started to give us issues. It would not work. I tried resetting the controllers and then spoke with the playstation support teams, which told me that since I had it for less than a week to go and get an exchange where I bought it from. Came to Best Buy to get an exchange, but I could not get one saying it was out of stock, so i had to get a refund. I looked ok online same day and it allows me to order it for the same discount deal i bought it for, but I did not receive the refund since it takes few days and I did not have the extra money to pay for it right then. Now it is the next day, and there is no longer a discounted price . Now, I am really debating if spending the full 600$ is even worth getting because I see a lot of people complaining about the controllers. I really like it but dont want to buy one, especially for that price, just for me to have the same repeated problem

The PSVR2 is a major leap forward in virtual reality for PlayStation 5 users, offering crisp 4K HDR visuals, smooth 120Hz performance, and impressive features like eye tracking and headset haptics that enhance immersion. It’s easy to set up with just one cable and feels incredibly responsive and lifelike in games like Horizon: Call of the Mountain. While the $549 price and wired connection may be a downside for some, it delivers a high-end VR experience that rivals much more expensive PC setups—making it a top choice for serious console gamers looking to explore virtual worlds.

Absolutely amazing gaming experience. The processing power of the PS5 make this VR system much more enjoyable that competing brands. The headset is comfortable and can be work for extended periods without issue. The graphics are amazing and make you feel like you are part of the game. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new VR gaming system.

PSVR2 is the truth so far. Games are great. graphics are great. the cord is cumbersome sometimes if you get too involved in the games. The controllers take some time to get used to, but once you di they perform as advertised. So far the best game is GT7. I hate GT games, but using GT7 in VR has made me appreciate GT games at a level I didn't think possible. I'm hitting the lines, braking when I should, and I feel totally like a race care driver when sitting in the cockpit of a sports car. it is is unreal and amazing to say the least. Worth the purchase . i use it to watch movies too to get that theatre feel, and the only thing missing is the popcorn.

Graphics good, comfort level is better than the Meta Quest, the chord is annoying. Expensive price tag. I would say: wait till it goes on sale and until they have more games out.

It’s a really good high quality VR headset don’t get me wrong, but the games are expensive and the wire gets annoying quick. If these are a problem, then I recommend get a oculus/meta quest.

I've been using the PS VR for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s an incredible experience, especially if you're new to VR! The quality of the visuals is surprisingly sharp and immersive for the price point, with vibrant colors and details that make you feel right in the middle of the action. Tracking accuracy is solid—movements are generally smooth and well-aligned with the in-game environment, which really pulls you into the gameplay.
That said, it's not without a few downsides. One of my biggest issues is the battery life of the controllers. It’s not terrible, but it could definitely be better; I find myself needing to charge more frequently than I’d like, especially during longer gaming sessions. And while the visuals are good, I occasionally notice a slight screen-door effect if I’m paying close attention. Lastly, the setup with all the cables can be a bit messy if you’re trying to keep a clean gaming space.
Despite these minor cons, I’d still recommend PS VR to anyone looking for a quality VR experience without breaking the bank. It’s easy to dive into, the games are fun and engaging, and the pros far outweigh the few hiccups!
