The PlayStation VR2 offers an improved virtual reality experience compared to its predecessor. The higher resolution display and enhanced tracking contribute to a more immersive and visually appealing experience. The simplified setup process is a positive aspect, making it more accessible for users. However, some users might find the lack of major hardware advancements disappointing, as it still relies on the PlayStation camera for tracking. Overall, the PlayStation VR2 is a solid choice for PlayStation enthusiasts and those looking to dive into VR gaming, but it may not be a significant upgrade for existing VR users with high-end headsets.

Visuals are incredible. The headset is overall very comfortable. Noticed they are making an adapter that will make this headset compatible with PC as well, which I think will put some pressure on the PC VR companies that are charging $1,500+ for the same level of visuals and worse controllers. You haven’t felt fear until playing Resident evil Village or the Resident Evil 4 remake in VR. Can’t wait to try PC VR games on it.

This is a very fun VR system. Easy to set up, makes you feel like you are actually in the action. My only disappointment (reason for only 4 stars) is that there is not as wide a selection of VR games as with the first generation PS5 VR system. While the PS5 games available are good, it is a real hassle to switch between the old PS VR to the newer PS VR2. It would have been nice if the VR2 was backward compatible with the original PS VR games. With an adapter, it is possible to tap into "STEAM" to play their library of VR games. The adapter is sold separately, and works quite well.

I've used several different VR systems over the years, and each one has its pros and cons. PC-based VR headsets can be more powerful (if you have a really high-end PC). But gaming on the PC often has hardware and software issues that can leave the user frustrated. The PSVR2 is a different animal in comparison. Right out of the box it works extremely well. If you already have a PS5, this is a plug-and-play system that you can have ready to go in minutes. The visual quality is great, and the controllers are much better than the PSVR1. It also has less wiring than the PSVR1, which is a big plus Now, for the downsides. Compared to the Meta Quest 2, it is wired. Meta Quest is a truly "go anywhere" device that doesn't need to connect to a machine. Compared to PC setups, the games cannot be modded. For example, you cannot add your own songs into Beat Saber- you have to buy their expensive music packs. And compared to the PSVR1, be aware that some great games are not backwards compatible. Superhot, Astro Bot, etc were designed for the old VR system that relied on a camera and the old controllers. So you may find that a game you really wanted to play (or already owned) cannot be used on the PSVR2. None of those issues are a deal breaker, but if they resolved one or two of those and added some more games, I would bump this to 5 stars

As a casual gamer, I'm really impressed with the PlayStation VR2. It's super comfortable and lightweight, making long gaming sessions easy. The visuals are stunning with sharp details and vibrant colors. The new controllers feel great and add a lot to the experience. Setup was a breeze, and there are plenty of games to enjoy. Overall, it's a fantastic upgrade and well worth it!

It took a few tries to set up properly, but once it's up and running, the experience is wonderful. Ive tried around 4 games so far and they look incredible. It did give me a bit of virtigo with the games you have to move around a lot (not physically but within the game). After playing more it did get better.

The best affordable VR headset in my opinion, while it doesn’t have as many games as Quest and certainly not PC, it does have some of the best VR games. And it is higher quality than Quest in my opinion the haptics are quite cool. And in the future if you get a VR capable PC you could get the adapter and use your PS VR 2 on your PC.

This VR headset is one of the most unsuspecting incognito pieces of VR hardware. It offers up to 120Hz refresh rate on the OLED lenses, and the eye tracking works flawlessly with games that support it. It’s very comfortable, and I was able to get it easily situated with no light leakage around the facial interface — something not possible out of the box with the Quest 2 or Quest 3. Sony hasn’t made much of a fuss about it since releasing it early 2023, so it’s passed the initial hype window. If you can handle the mura on the lenses, the headset being tethered, and bringing your own headphones, it’s a fantastic experience. Much of the library is older VR titles from the Quest and PSVR libraries brought forward with a varying degree of enhancement, but most are reasonably priced. The standout first-party releases excel in showcasing the full abilities of the headset, which amouts to 2 games at the end of 2023. Is it worth the price? If you own a PS5 and want to enjoy your VR experience, yes. If you don’t own a PS5, it’s a high barrier of entry just to enjoy some slightly better ports of games designed for what amounts to a high-end Qualcomm SoC. That said, knowing the limitations, it does what it’s supposed to do — let you enjoy your VR gaming experience.

This VR headset provides a very immersive experience. It has an excellent game catalog and the headset can be adjusted easily for comfort. You will have an imprint on your face after playing a while. There was a bit of motion sickness at first but it gets better the more often you play.

I’ve been using the PlayStation VR2 for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The OLED display looks amazing—everything is vibrant and sharp, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything feel super smooth. The new Sense controllers are a game-changer too. They provide great feedback, making me feel more immersed in the action. The eye-tracking feature is a nice touch, making the experience feel even more realistic. It’s definitely more comfortable than the original PS VR, and while you need a PS5 to use it, I think it’s well worth the investment for anyone looking for an upgraded VR experience.

This is a great addition to the ps5 if you are looking for a new or different element to your gaming experience. I figured I would vr in between normal sessions. However the quality, functionality, and comfortability kinda shocked me. I play it often, there are great games and if you can manage to get one on sale 50-100 dollars off. For the price you cannot beat this. It even works on pc with an adapter and the customer base mods for it create even better capabilities

This has been my first VR experience. When I unboxed and started it up I wasn’t very impressed. I thought why did I just drop so much money.. Picture quality was blurry and foggy. And the motion sickness is real! But after watching suggestions on how to make the picture quality better, there is a sweet spot different for every person, it was a game changer no pun intended. The motion sickness gets better in time. Take it slow, 30 min variable’s at a time. After using and getting used to it for 3 weeks now I am completely hooked! I started with Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy which helped with motion sickness and overall controls. Then moved to GT7 which looks great, especially when walking around the cars at the outdoor location. The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners chapter 1 & 2 was my next purchase. Ive always loved putting zombies down but with the full immersion of VR it brings it to a whole other level! Arizona Sunshine 2 was awesome and I’m currently playing Resident Evil 4. It’s taken some time to get into VR but so glad I did! Would highly recommend if you already own a PS5 and have an additional $600 to spend!

This was my first VR experience and I love it! I just wish PlayStation had backwards compatibility for it, that’s my only real issue. However I just played RE: Village and No Man’s Sky on the VR2 and they both looked amazing (No Man’s Sky especially!). Totally recommend if you love electronic gadgets

Incredibly immersive gaming hardware, solid build quality, comfortable, a little bit of motion sickness, but if you sit down it'll be fine! Wish there were more games, but you can use it with steam now!

My first experience with VR and am pleasantly surprised. The setup was easy and the controls are very intuitive. The quality of the oled screens are phenomenal and the graphics are very immersive. The price is a little steep, and if they had included the charge station for the controllers it would've made the price tag a little more justifiable.

The Sony PlayStation VR2 is a game-changer for virtual reality enthusiasts! The high-resolution OLED display and eye-tracking technology provide an incredibly immersive experience. The Sense controllers are responsive and add a new level of interaction to games. The setup is straightforward, and the overall build quality is excellent. While it requires a connection to the PS5, the powerful graphics and smooth gameplay make it worth it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their gaming experience!

If the only game I ever play on this is GT7 then it will easily justify the purchase price. I have also been playing the Star Wars VR game and it is very good as well. I'm sure there will be more to come. This is very similar to the original PS VR but is lighter, easier to use and has significantly better resolution. The graininess is there but you have to look for it. It is easier to set up and the controls are a huge improvement over the Motion controllers. I have never used any VR head set other than Sony's so I can't comment on how this compares to the competition. From what I have seen though this is an excellent value, super easy to use and the games are very fun to play. I was afraid they might over think the second version and keep trying to add another whistle before it ships. Instead I think this is an excellent upgrade that will make for some excellent gaming.

I got this for my boyfriend who loves games a lot more than I do and I wasn’t expecting to use this but when he put it on me it was like I was no longer in my living room. I show this headset to anyone that comes to the house. It is probably the best thing I’ve ever purchased. Everyone has so much fun with it

I had the original PSVR and enjoyed it well enough. But the PSVR2 is hands down one of the best vr platforms out there. If you have any interest in vr and have a PlayStation 5 this is what you are looking for. It's super comfortable and although it is cable connected it is hardly noticeable.

Got the VR headset within a few days when another store couldn’t ship to me. Setting up was easy and took about five to ten minutes at most to configure all the settings and fitting. Everything works perfectly, one thing I am unsure is if there is a smudge inside my one of my lenses. There’s a few good games that are available as of now. The controllers could be better. It’s easy to accidentally press the menu button on both sides of the vr controllers. One thing I noticed about vr games is that some texts can be really hard to read and appear blurry in game. You can screen-share your vr gameplay while in a party chat, screenshot and screen record which is awesome. I personally recommend the sony pulse headphones with 3d audio to take the vr to the next level.
