Customers are saying

Customers commend the PlayStation VR2 for its immersive gaming experience, easy setup, impressive graphics, and comfortable design. They particularly appreciate the eye tracking feature and consider it a significant upgrade from the previous version. However, some customers express concerns about the limited game selection, high price point, potential for motion sickness, and issues with the controllers.

I own mini VR solutions from valve to meta to HTC and now Sony... The valve index and PSVR 2 are by far my favorites. Considering that the PSPR2 only requires a $400 game console to run VR, I'd consider it the most approachable VR solution for anyone interested in getting involved in virtual reality gaming. Many of the games available for PSVR are available on PC, the libraries are very similar. I set up the device in my room in just a few minutes It didn't require any lighthouses or sensors to set up just the headset and the controllers. I would consider this a 5 out of 5 star experience.

I own the PSVR, but I stopped playing it when I upgraded to the PS5. Then a couple years later I hooked up a TV and PS4 in my basement and played the PSVR and I forgot how much I loved it. That encouraged me to get the PSVR2 last month, and I have been playing it everyday since. What an upgrade. The visuals are nice, the pass through works great, the new controllers are awesome, and the games are fully immersive. Highly recommend!

I mostly play horror games. The ones I have played so far are really good. They had a pause in making psvr2 games and hopefully they will come out with some new games this year. The cord is a bit annoying. However I like that you can have friends watch what you are playing. The Quest does that but it never worked right for me. I would say as far as comparing them, portability goes to Quest and it does seem like there is more game variety on Quest, but I still enjoy playing the psvr2

Really stunning headset that makes playing Gran Turismo seriously next level. Easy setup with a single cable is rad. The two drawbacks are the lack of depth sensor, which makes room/space setup a bit cumbersome, and the playspace requirement is rather large. My house isn't huge but my other headsets have had no problem with setting up playspaces while this one forces me to move furniture around to open up enough space.

I had the original PSVR and enjoyed it well enough. But the PSVR2 is hands down one of the best vr platforms out there. If you have any interest in vr and have a PlayStation 5 this is what you are looking for. It's super comfortable and although it is cable connected it is hardly noticeable.

First off, the headset is great. The visual fidelity blows the Quest 2 out of the water, which was my last headset. The screen door effect isn't bad at all, the OLED panels have fantastic color, all with the graphics power of the PS5? It's a total win all the way around. If you've already got a PS5 and you want to dip your toes into VR, don't hesitate to buy this rig. The only down side, but it's not really that bad, is that the controllers are a little short on battery- but it's really better to take breaks after a little while anyway. So not a deal breaker for me but if that bothers you consider another solution like an extra battery pack that you can connect a USB cable to (yes, that works). This is 100% with it with the games currently available. I can't wait until more come out, this will change everything as far as VR viability for consoles goes.

Comfortable, lightweight, and high quality for the price. And now that they've released a PC adapter and you're not limited to the PlayStation ecosystem, I think this is probably the best mid-range VR headset on the market.

I love the upgrade i have the last version as well. This one is much lighter, its less bulky and not weighing down your head. The sensors are much better. I like that it senses your eye movement and allows you to look around corners without to much body movement

Great re-entry to the VR world after trying other VR products in the past. Would recommend charging the controllers before starting. Although I had to purchase a few VR games on the Playstation store it was money well spent. Headset is surprisingly light on your face than I was expecting especially compared to other headsets. Glad it lets me create a room size for whatever game I am playing. However sometimes you have to kinda rig it to let you play games when you don't have the available space required sometimes. In addition I don't experience headaches after playing for a bit like it did long ago when VR was fairly still new. Was caught me off guard when I saw the eye tracking and how accurate it was despite me wearing glasses.

The headset is extremely comfortable. The graphics are incredible. The fact that the wires have been reduced to one wire helps tremendously. I love that they added a way to see your play space while the helmet is still on using the cameras on the headset. This helps increase safety for everyone and everything around the player. All in all, a great gaming experience.

This is an excellent headset. It has great rez, eye tracking, the whole package. I wish there were drivers for hooking it up to windows, but I get why that will probably never happen. My only real complaint is the lack of games. You seriously couldn't be bothered to make PSVR1 games work on PSVR2? As for Best Buy's part in this, flawless so far.

Easy to set up with shallow learning curve and generous selection of games. Snagged a sense controller charger on Amazon for $6 that is no longer available but plenty of other sense chargers for much less than $50. Big time thanks to Ryan at local best buy--the $200 discount occurred more than 2 weeks after my purchase and he was able to put together in store credits which was very much appreciated. As an aside, I decided against purchasing a treadmill due to high maintenance--calibration and fine adjustments have to be implemented every time after restarting and the headset only is plug and play.

The PlayStation VR2 is a significant leap forward in console-based virtual reality. With dual 2000x2040 OLED displays per eye, it delivers sharp, vibrant visuals that enhance immersion. The inclusion of eye-tracking technology allows for intuitive interactions and supports foveated rendering, optimizing performance by focusing resources where you’re looking. The new Sense controllers, featuring haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, provide a tactile and responsive gaming experience. Additionally, the headset’s built-in haptics and 3D audio further deepen the sense of presence in virtual environments. While the tethered design may limit movement compared to wireless options, the single USB-C connection simplifies setup. It’s worth noting that the PS VR2 is not backward compatible with PS VR titles, and the current game library is still growing. However, for PS5 owners seeking high-quality VR experiences, the PS VR2 offers impressive technology and immersive gameplay.

This headset is amazing, especially if you are playing the new Horizon game. It is very interactive and it’s like you are there in person which makes it even more fun. The only issue I had was I have vertigo and playing on the headset for a while does not help. But I would definitely recommend it.

Great improvement from generation 1 just the ease of use can't say enough the controllers are better you don't need a camera to track your movements the games look better graphically it reads all your movements correctly easier use of tracking adjusting the way you play just everything is just easy.
