Small, good sound, good price Easy to carry, this is what I were looking for

The reception is very good. Very nice for a small bathroom...or to carry in your backpack for when you wanna tune into your favorite talk radio station or baseball / football game. Can't beat the price and Sony quality :)

Terrific radio with a manual tuner to get the best reception. Sound is good for such a small speaker. No crackling. We float on our pond and listen to baseball games in AM and my husband chops wood with the radio playing. A great radio for the price!

I wanted a radio to listen to National Public Radio (NPR) during the day at work while I am working on the computer. This Sony does the job nicely and I can hear everything very well. The batteries that I bought at Dollar Tree seem to work a long time (2 double AAs--working for over 2 weeks).

this radio is a replacement for a similar small am/fm radio for use in an emergency. it has a retractable antenna, analog dial for stations. it has good quality sound for its size. it will not pick up all of my local stations. of course a digital option would improve selecting stations, but that is not present on this model. it serves a good purpose for me and therefore i would recommend it for that use.

I bought this radio to use in my travels in the car until I get the builtin stock unit ( which is excellent design also)AM FM CD cassette fixed. The volume is more than adequate and it is distortion free at all levels. The controls are such that a person doesn't disturb the other controls when setting a different control. Very good design and excellent price.

My spouse wanted a radio he could use while working(small and compact). This is exactly what he wanted and with the headphones we purchased he has been enjoying this every day! It allows him to listen to his favorite sports teams, music and other favorites.

Yes, despite streaming, there is still a need for on-air broadcast and this radio works great for portable radio listening. It works great on both AM and FM and it won't use your data or battery up on your mobile phone! The batteries last a long time and the radio is very lightweight and portable to use- great for when there is a power outage too!

I purchased this radio with the idea of bringing it with me when I travel. This has worked out well as it takes up very little space in my packing and performs well in the number of stations it is able to pick up.

We lost power for three days after hurricane Irma went through and this little radio was the only thing we had to find out what was going on and keep us connected. Worked wonderfully and lasted the whole time on one set of batteries. Reception is quite good as is the sound considering it's not stereo. So glad we got this.

I bought this to use at a drive in movie. It grabbed signal and didn’t lose it, keeping stereo sound throughout without needing to replace the batteries. Seems crazy to be excited over an AM/FM portable radio in 2020, but when hooked up to noise cancelling headphones, the film sounded fantastic. Perfect for that, working in the garage, or a neighborhood walk if you listen to AM /FM

This is a great little radio (used with a headset) to take to sporting events. I like to listen to the play by play commentary while watching live events. The size of the radio is perfect for a pocket and the volume level is strong enough to be heard above the cheers of the crowd. Another benefit is the low price.

I bought this to take to the KC Royals games so I could listen while watching, but didn't realize that the radio broadcast has a delay, so that didn't work for me, but the radio was perfect for what I wanted. Darn!

Great battery life, picks up stations well. Analog tuner so it doesn't "lock" stations, but it's easy enough to find them and the sound is clear once you tune it correctly. If you aren't jumping stations a lot, it's not an issue. Stands up by itself without falling over. Fits in pockets well. Don't need to extend antenna for AM stations. Go watch the "todderbert" review on youtube for a detailed description that I found very helpful.

I bought this for work to use in empty houses I clean and it easily fills a room with sound. Considering it having a small cheap speaker it doesn’t have the best sound quality but it does the job and has impressed me with how loud it can get. I rarely ever have reception issues either. Great little radio for the price!
