This hand held am/fm radio is powered by batteries and is convenient and practical. It goes everywhere and came in especially handy during hurricane Florence. It delivers what it is built to do!

I am very satisfied with this purchase. The radio serves its purpose well. Small enough to put in your pocket while doing odd jobs, away from the house. Headphone jack is a nice feature. All in all, I am pleased with this purchase. The price of this unit was very reasonable, considering what it is: a very compact, portable radio....that is very easy to use.

I really enjoy this radio. It has great reception! Take it out when I go observing with my telescope and it always gives me GREAT reception and sound.

Excellent small radio for just those tight spots or when you need a radio but don’t want to carry something heavy or expensive! Has great sound and reception for as small as it is! We use it in the kitchen or when travel8ng or at the dragstrip ( we are racers) to hear the fm broadcasts from the tower! All around great value for the price!

I got this because I realized I did not have a good battery-powered radio for my emergency kit and this radio was the right price. Since I got the radio I've listened to it for probably 50 or 60 hours (still on the original set of batteries I put in it) and I am impressed with its performance. The FM reception is good, probably slightly above average, but the AM reception is excellent in terms of quality and sensitivity. There are a few music stations on AM in my area and I've never heard them sound so good over the air than I have while listening to with this radio using an external speaker. (The internal speaker is good enough for talk programming, and gets plenty loud, but is a bit too tinny for listening to music.) The tuner is fully analog, so fine adjustments to the tuning knob (under 1mm of adjustment up or down) can make a big difference in reception; it takes a bit of practice to get good at making such fine adjustments so I took one point off the ease of use. If you have issues with fine motor control I would not recommend this radio for that reason. Additionally, the volume knob turns with very little resistance so it's easy to bump it while you're adjusting the tuning if you're not holding the radio just right. One other thing to note about this radio is that even when you connect external speakers or headphones the FM reception is only mono, so if your main reason for getting this radio is listening to music on FM with headphones I'd suggest finding an alternative with stereo output.

i have been looking for a transistor radio for a while be cause my old one was breaking down.I found this one,and it is much better,my batteries lasts longer,the sound is superior and it is more durable.

Just bought it in case for use during hurricane Irma and has to used it for 6 days. very good, loud volume, and batteries last a long time.

I got this for my grandmother! I is great! Small and not heavy enough for her so she can hear radio, news and weather reports!

I got this for a birthday gift for my 10 year old nephew and we he used the radio, the sound coming out of the radio was great. For the price I paid, this was a great deal.

This is a standout product. The AM/FM tuner is very sensitive and much better than expected. The tuner receives distant AM signals both day and night. The FM tuner/attenna combo is also good. The sound quality from the speaker far surpasses any pocket transistor I've ever seen. The sound quality was truly an unexpected bonus. After purchasing this as a gift for an elderly relative, I was surprised with the quality and purchased a second for myself and junked my previous pocket radio. Great for ballgames (saves your smartphone battery). This model is an outstanding value and is a superior product in a shrinking category.

This Sony am/fm battery powered radio is great. The radio stations comes out clear. The volume is impressive on this portable radio. Battery life is good and it’s made well.

This is a very simple transistor radio that works well and is inexpensive.it works on batteries and takes up very little room.

AM stations were not clear but that was our experience with other radios. Thankfully, the station my mom wanted is also on FM and it was both clear and loud. Handy little radio.

Great for keeping informed in case of power outages, black out, brown outs whichever reason. This small radio tunes perfect to many stations and is light weight and small enough to keep in your pocket. Also has great music stations in case you’re just tired of listening to your music list and don’t want to expose your expensive devices to moisture in bathroom or showers

This AM radio has outperformed others we have tried for reception. Can be worn in a decent sized pocket. Antenna is not conducive to portability unless collapsed.

Has both AM and FM and the quality of the sound is very good for such a small radio. You definitely have to extend the antenna to get signals from far away
