This was purchased for my elderly mother in a nursing home. She wanted a small portable radio and has very limited electrical outlets in her room. I previously purchased one elsewhere that could only be used with ear buds which she did not like. This was only one I could find that could be used without earbuds. The sound quality is okay, not high quality, but served the purpose.

This is a simple transistor type radio that works fantastic. I wanted to listen to morning news station before work in bathroom, and its very good for that, gets you ready for work. Much better than a smart phone. Smart phones and satellite radio are not good for every application!

Reception was very good across the AM and FM dial. Tuning was more precise than the old transistor radios and the sound quality was cleaner especially with earbuds. The only complaint was the headphone jack location as it can interfere with the directional antenna. This was easy enough to overcome by facing the radio a few inches one direction or the other.

Bought as replacement for emergency radio. While it's nice to have a NOAA radio, I have found them unnecessary so long as you can get the usual emergency AM stations, which this one does. Battery life is great and it uses standard AA's which are easy to stock for emergencies.

Great Radio for the price and size. Easy to tune even though people here say it is difficult. Great for FM and AM. Very good headphone compat. and sleek design and antennae.

I really like this little radio, hey it is nothing fancy but as a basic portable battery powered AM/FM radio it does very well! It has a nice long antenna for extra power pulling in stations. The sound quality in the built in speaker is fine. I even like the rotary tuning, it is sensitive and has a red/green light to indicate a strong signal. I recommend as a basic radio.

I bought this to show my grand daughters a transistor radio similar to what I had as a kid, but it works so well, I’ll actually use it. Great sound, size, and reception! Love it.

Nice portable size radio. Easy to use ,fits in a pocket nicely. Made well, sturdy material. The sound is is real good. A great portable, handy, easy to use radio!

I bought this radio so I wouldn't have to leave my car on at the drive in and I made such a good decision. The sound isn't crystal clear (of course since its not digital) but it wasn't horrible at all and it got pretty loud that I even forgot I was using it! Love it.

This works well on 2 AA batteries, has good pick-up local stations on AM and FM channels. However, when I tried to use my own earbuds with it, they didn't work. That was a drawback. This radio would be good in an emergency or power outage, assuming you had enough batteries in stock.

This radio is just what I was looking for to take on trips. Reception is excellent, sound is very good - just the right size for my needs. In fact, my husband liked it so much he bought one too.
