Sound is as expected, build is cheap and not worth it. Already had them fall apart while folding they don't fold on comfortably feel like they're ready to break on me, as they did, and had to pop the plastic tabs back into the headband. Low quality.

The title says it all. After watching so many Youtube videos with YouTubers saying how "great" these headphones are being around for 3 decades so I gave them a shot. 1) built quality they feel so cheap. I don't think the materials are even worth more than the headphones you can get at a dollar store. 2) sound quality is terrible. Even with an external Dac and Amp you will have a hard time hearing the vocalist. 3) the ear padding makes my ears cause to have paid and soreness. These should be prices like $10 maximum.
I did purchase another Sony headphone but the Sony MDR1AM2 which are 3 times the price of these. If you love Sony headphones and want in general a headphone with a good bass which Sony's do stay away from this one. Sony headphones are one of the best headphones and brands in the world but this product just terrible.

I really enjoy using the Sony Professional Studio Headphones because they deliver crisp, detailed sound that makes vocals and instruments stand out clearly. The closed-back design blocks out background noise well, which helps me stay focused whether I’m working or just listening for fun. They feel lightweight and comfortable, although I did notice the ear pads can get warm after long sessions. Overall, I like how reliable and accurate they are, making them a great pair of headphones for both casual listening and serious audio work.

I'm not an audiophile but used to work for a concert center, so clear, full sound is #1 priority. Maybe these wouldn't rate 5 stars from an audio engineer, but I like them better than or as well as the Sony and Bowers & Wilkins wireless headphones I've tried in 2024. And for the difference in prices, no contest. But they're wired (always better sound than wireless, to me).
