I was wowed by the sleek design, comfort, battery life and quality of sound that this headset provided at an awesome price....for 2 months. That was it, just 2 months. 2 months of light use (less than 1 hour a day avg.) and the left speaker crapped out. Despite resetting the headset, switching to the 3.5mm jack and following troubleshooting steps, the left cup was dead. This was really disappointing given the hype behind these. I tried bringing them back to Best Buy, but was turned away because I did not purchase the geek squad protection from them. They told me I need to contact Sony. Now THAT's a fun game. Trying to contacting Sony is like a dust mite trying to get the attention of an elephant. I tried for 2 months to contact Sony on and off with no success. I'll keep trying I guess. So now I've got this dud Sony Pulse headset lying around. Replaced it with a Steelseries Arctic7P; a bit more dough, but much better experience thus far, and it supports PS5 3d audio! Another thing I didn't like about the Pulse 3d was the volume control. You basically get 5 or 6 steps of volume with the toggle control that left me more often than not wanting it louder or quieter than I could set it to. I much prefer a volume dial to fine tune the sound level to my liking. TL:DR - Buy Geek Squad protection - you'll likely need it and Sony is a nightmare to deal with. Volume controls are toggles, so no fine tuning.

    The 3D audio is insane

Let me start off with the basics. This headset is very comfortable with an automatically adjustable piece that sits on your head well. The buttons on the side that control game/party chat audio takes a minute to get used to but besides that, this headset it perfect for what I needed. I just wanted a reliable headset with good speakers, so maybe my expectations weren't super high but these things deliver. I've never had a "3D audio" headset for gaming before and let me tell you, it's pretty awesome. It's not just "oh he's over here to the left I heard him", no you can pinpoint where it came from, not just "from the left". Some things actually sound like they're coming from behind my shoulder, like RIGHT THERE. Cool stuff, man. $100 is a little pricey to me but what isn't overpriced these days?

Great headphones for a low price. Audio on them is nice though not really bassy. Battery life is nice and so are easy to learn/use features of the buttons on the headset. The 3D positional audio is really nice and I can hear details in my games now that I didn't quite hear before. I only wish the ear cups had more articulation, these would probably feel odd on a smaller head.

For a 100 dollar headset at the time nothing beats this for me. The sound quality was good, it was easy to learn the buttons, and the battery life was pretty good. I kept this in the arsenal even when I got a new headset because I loved it so much.

Comfortable, amazing sound quality, easy to reach / find controls, long battery life... I love that they charge with USB-C. I'm sure an audiophile might say that there are "better" surround sound headphones out there (and I personally own a pair) but for what this is - a dedicated PS5 gaming headset - I could not be happier with the quality.

Great headset! Very comfortable for my head shape. Battery is good for about 6-8 hours and can still use it while charging. Another great thing about this headset is that I can mute, change volume, and change how loud you want your party chat to be with your game volume all in a touch of a button. Ive had this headset for about 2 years and still works just as good as when I first got it.

Great sounds, Good base, fits well. Was very easy to connect to the PS5. Liked the option of a wired connection for a those who forget to charge. Holds charge for a good while, ok price though. I mean you can use any good headphones. It is an ok buy as a PS5 accessory. My son likes it, then I am good.

Let’s go big! The sound, phenomenal if you play a game that utilizes the 3D Pulses architecture. Like Returnal. The sounds are crisp and sharp with great lows/mids/highs. You can adjust the “level” in the settings menu to let you adjust the height of the sound to your ear and how you perceive the sound, so that’s a plus. I like that they don’t adjust the normal way, they have the black band that acts as the adjustments on the ears but makes the dual band look of the headphones look tacky a bit. Truthfully I don’t care, I’m not impressing anyone, I want the sound lol. My only complaint is the build. They’re thin and you here outside noise easily. The mic is good, but doesn’t necessarily noise cancel all ambient noise and sometimes enhances them as I’m told from others I’m online with. It’s strange. Comfy, but feel tight if you have a larger head and can cause a headache because of the band type build they have. They squeeze. The usb c charging port is nice, better than older chargers and it holds a charge and charges longer and faster. Pros: look sleek, comfy for a while, all buttons on one side and hold a charge and charge fast. Tone sound for PS5 titles. Cons: build quality, easy to hear outside noises and mic doesn’t noise cancel all to well. Squeezes the ears and head a bit. Worth the price, to me, not really, but I collect and try most things. Other headsets with great sound yes, others that take advantage of Pulse architecture, nope, that’s where these shine. So I can say I’d recommend them for PS5 titles, because they take advantage of the tech. They immerse you into the game. But can others, I’m sure they can but not to the same level.

First wireless headset I’ve owned and very pleased still gotta get used to knowing exactly where which button is for what but other then that they’re comfortable to play with for hours great sound quality not as bassy as my Razor headphones which I love because I also make music but the sound quality is still good for music with these too if you wanted to

Owning everything from Astro, Steel Series and turtle beach, the Pulse headset is pretty dang good. The pin hole mic is a little muffled but the sound quality, bass and loudness are a perfect blend. Pros: Sound quality. Very comfortable. Weight. Build quality. Cons: Mic is a little muffled. __________ I think they are a must buy for your PS5

I was skeptical about buying these at first. In the past Sony headphones has issues with the band around the top cracking and needing to be replaced. So far I’ve had these about 2 months no with no issues. The batter life is solid and the headset is super lightweight. The 3D audio is such a cool new feature.

This is a really terrific headset for the price. Sound is spectacular, especially impressive with games that use it’s full potential. The big drawback is the flimsy build quality, it feels like it wouldn’t take much to break it. This shouldn’t be an issue for those who take good care of their electronics. That said, it’s light and very comfortable with reasonable battery life (just charge it every other day and you’re good to go). Happy with my purchase.

Never used a headset while gaming until buying this for my PS5. Comfortable, stylish and great sound. Definitely worth the price. It does require the use of one USB port on the PS5 for the included dongle.
