Solid improvement over the original pulse headset. Was initially hesitant as it doesn't have button presets for mic control, volume levels, and chat settings but after playing with it for a few hours, it grew on me tremendously. Love the fact the earcups are way softer than previous models, headband allows for more flexibility, and the mic is retractable. Kind of disappointed i got mine at full price just a few weeks before they went on sale but still a decent purchase for my needs.

The headphones work great as to communication and hearing. My only issue is with the microphone extension seems a bit flimsy we will see if lasts.

Great Comfort for Long PS5 Gaming Session

I’ve been using this headset daily since it arrived and overall I’m pretty happy with it. The sound quality is great for gaming — audio feels clear and detailed, and positional effects (footsteps, environmental sounds) are noticeably better than cheaper headsets I’ve tried. The battery life is excellent, easily lasting through long sessions without needing a recharge. The fit is comfortable for hours, even with glasses on, and the retractable mic works well for party chat.
That said, the controls are a bit clunky at first and there were a few moments of spotty wireless connectivity until I got the dongle in the best position. Some folks online also mention mixed experiences with the mic and noise isolation, so I think results vary slightly from unit to unit. But for official Sony first-party hardware that just works with the PS5 and doesn’t require constant setup fiddling, this has been a solid upgrade for my setup.
Pros:
• Robust wireless connection with low latency.
• Comfortable for long gaming sessions.
• Good battery life.
Cons:
• Occasional connectivity hiccups.
• Controls take a minute to get used to

I always loved song headsets especially for the PS5 and the 3D Elites are honestly amazing. Great sound, great charging station and great quality. I give them 4 stars just because mine have this bad static sound that comes and goes. Also the dongles disconnect frequently; besides that great headset.

The Pulse Elite offers outstanding 360 spatial surround sound, delivering an immersive audio experience perfect for playing shooter games. The sound quality is rich and detailed, allowing you to pinpoint the direction of every sound.
The AI noise-canceling microphone is equally impressive, ensuring crystal-clear communication by effectively filtering out background noise. It’s ideal for both calls and gaming.
Comfortable for extended wear and built to last, this headset is a top choice for anyone seeking superior sound and voice clarity. Highly recommended!

Sound quality is excellent. Bass doesn't sound as good (especially when listening to music). No way to adjust chat/game balance like with the pulse 3d. So if you can't hear your friend over the sounds of the game that's too bad buddy no options to fix. There's also an annoying blue light that is on the right side constantly in my eye and there is no way to turn it off. I've resorted to using a small piece of microfiber cloth with a twisty tie just to keep the light out of my eye. Hopefully an update will allow me to turn off the light and adjust the volume balance. Other than that it has randomly disconnected a few times and needs to be re-paired to my PS5 again every once in a while. It definitely needed more quality testing and time in the oven.

First off, i just want to say that these are really good headphones to wear. They are very comfortable to wear, and the mic is good on this headset. HOWEVER, god help you if you decide to pair the headphones with anything other than the dongle that comes with the headset, especially the PS Portal.
It's a labor of Hurcules to even try to pair the 2 together the FIRST time, not to mention that how the PS Portal is designed, you have to pair the 2 EVERY TIME you want to use the 2 TOGETHER
Another grip is the fact that the power button and the pair button are the SAME BUTTON! WHY!?!?!?
Overall, a really nice headset, but dont try to pair it for anything else besides the dongle that came with it

The audio sounds nice and clear, the microphone is pretty standard, pretty bassy sometimes muffled but that's because the mic is by the cheek instead of by the mouth. What is annoying and why this is a 2 star is because the headset keeps disconnecting and when it happens during matches is horrible you can't even reconnect unless you unplug and replug the USB stick, why it's not a USB-C i will not understand. I have looked online to see why this is and apparently it's because it goes off a 2.5hz so your other devices could interfere which is ridiculous, it's not easy to find a way to update the software or reset the device.
Until this disconnecting is fixed I don't recommend this headset.

2 complaints the major one is that this headset constantly disconnects i thought the vents were making the usb receiver too hot causing frequent disconnects but after moving the port over no changes to the frequency of disconnects annoying while gaming. 2ndcomplaint the range is horrible I could barely leave my game room before they disconnect. When they do work they sound really good. Design wise not my favorite it looks weird on my head. But the frequent disconnects makes this a horrible headset for online gaming

Disconnects constantly. Some times it automatically reconnects on its own. Sometimes you have to remove the stupid dongle then plug it back to get it to register. Why in the world, on a first party wireless headset would you make it work only with a dongle? Using up one of the rear USB slots. Really? Come on.
I found them to be comfortable.
Definitely a fragile design. Won't last if you're not careful.
