The Pulse Elite headset is an outstanding addition to the PlayStation ecosystem. If you’re looking for immersive sound, comfort, and seamless PS5 integration, this headset delivers on all fronts. Sound quality is incredible — rich, detailed, and well-balanced. The 3D audio really shines in games like Demon’s Souls and Returnal, where directional sound makes a huge difference. You can hear every footstep, reload, and environmental cue with precision. The bass is punchy without being overwhelming, and the highs are crisp. Setup was effortless — it connects wirelessly with no noticeable lag, and it’s clearly designed with the PS5 in mind. It also works with other devices via Bluetooth, which is a nice bonus. The comfort is surprisingly good even during long sessions. The build feels sturdy but lightweight, and the ear cups don’t press too hard. Battery life is solid, and the quick charging feature is convenient when you’re short on time. The retractable boom mic is a major step up from the original Pulse 3D headset. It’s clear, low-noise, and actually useful for party chat or streaming. Bottom line: If you’re serious about audio and want something that’s fully optimized for PS5, the Pulse Elite is absolutely worth the investment. Sony nailed it with this one.

    Premium Sound Meets PlayStation Integration

The Sony Pulse Elite is a uniquely designed headset that immediately stands out. The headband flows seamlessly into the mic area, and the embedded mic is a sleek touch. It reminds me of something like a sliver from Darth Vader’s helmet – clean, modern, and futuristic. But more than just looking good, this headset sounds incredible. Sony’s decision to include magnetic planar drivers – typically found in much more expensive audiophile headsets – shows they were serious about delivering high-end sound at a reasonable price. The result is sharp, crisp audio with phenomenal detail. Nothing gets lost or muddled, which is essential when gaming competitively and every sound matters. It’s clearly designed with the PlayStation 5 in mind. You can control the sound directly and even customize EQ profiles from within the PS5 itself. This level of integration makes it feel like a native part of the console experience. Now, if you're expecting heavy bass, this isn't the headset for that. It’s not tuned for punchy music-style bass. Instead, the focus is on bringing out every little detail with clarity, and in that, it excels. But thick fat sounds do come through during explosions or gun fire in FPS games. A big bonus is the simultaneous Bluetooth support. You can connect the headset to your phone or tablet while still using it for PS5 audio, so you don’t miss important calls or notifications during gaming. The only downside is the fragile area above the earcups in the headband. A lot of users have reported cracks over time. Mine hasn’t broken yet, but I handle it gently and avoid overstretching it. Just something to be aware of. Overall, the Pulse Elite delivers high-end sound, sleek design, and PS5-first features at a surprisingly competitive price. If clarity and detail matter to you, it’s a fantastic choice.

Sony’s implementation of Audeze’s planar magentic drivers has made a big impact on how everything sounds in this headset. While it isn’t the best for bass and the treble needs to be adjusted a bit, the surround sound technology in this headset mixed with the PS5’s Tempest audio engine makes it amazing to identify sounds from every angle in a game. The retractable mic is a nice rouch as well and i havent had any complaints from people I play with. I heard the AI noise cancelling is great but I play in a quiet room so I can’t speak to that part. They are also pretty comfortable. The earphones shift and move when you move your head and they can be a little noisy when I move around. I think this is a great step up from the original Pulse headset, especially for just an additional $50.

The Sony Pulse Elite headset blew me away the second I put it on. The 3D audio is insanely immersive — I can hear footsteps, reloads, and subtle details I never noticed before. The bass hits hard but stays clean, and the mic quality is crystal clear for online play. It’s super comfortable too — I’ve worn it for hours without any pressure or fatigue. The build feels premium, and pairing it with my PS5 was effortless. Best Buy delivered fast and packaged it perfectly. If you’re serious about gaming audio, the Pulse Elite is worth every penny.

The Sony wireless headset offers solid performance with clear, balanced sound and reliable connectivity. The audio quality is crisp, especially in the mid and high ranges, making vocals and instruments stand out nicely. However, the bass could be a bit stronger for those who enjoy a deeper, more powerful sound. The Bluetooth connection is stable and easy to pair, and the battery life is impressive — lasting several hours on a single charge. The build feels sturdy yet comfortable enough for long listening sessions.

The Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset is hands-down the best headset I’ve used with my PS5. From the moment I started using it, I could hear details I never noticed before—footsteps, environmental sounds, and subtle audio cues are all crystal clear thanks to the amazing planar magnetic drivers. It truly delivers next-gen 3D audio like no other. Comfort-wise, it's top-notch. The headset feels premium, lightweight, and fits snugly without pressure, even during extended gaming sessions. The sound is rich and balanced with deep bass and crisp highs, and the spatial audio really pulls you into the game world. The retractable boom mic is a great touch—my friends say my voice is incredibly clear, and it stays tucked away when not in use. Plus, the wireless connection is rock-solid with no lag or dropouts, and the battery life is excellent. I’ve gone multiple sessions on a single charge. Sony really knocked it out of the park with the Pulse Elite. If you're looking for a high-end wireless headset built specifically for the PlayStation 5 experience, this is the one. Worth every penny.

This headset is clean and very comfortable to wear for long hours. It stays in place on my head and doesn't slide like my first generation headset. There's also microphone that pulls out when you want to use voice chat. I would recommend purchasing this headset.

The Sony PULSE Elite Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5 is a game-changer if you want immersive sound without the fuss. The planar magnetic drivers make every detail pop, from subtle footsteps to booming explosions, while the 30-hour battery keeps you gaming worry-free. It’s comfortable enough for long sessions, and the included charging hanger is a nice touch that keeps it ready to grab and go. The design is a little bulky, but if you’re looking for crisp audio, a solid mic, and seamless PS5 integration, this headset really delivers.

This headset has amazing sound and it is better than my other headset; the Arctis Nova 7+ that I own. If you are also considering the 3D pulse, you should get the Pulse Elite instead and you will not regret it.The comfort is there and the features you get are amazing for what you pay. My only issue is the random disconnects from the Playstation link connection every few hours or so, which i hope gets a software patch soon. I do not recommend this hedset if you play competitive shooters for this reason, but for everything else its

A Perfect Headset with One Issue

Despite most reviewers saying to use this for gaming alone, I have found the Pulse Elite’s to work amazingly for music as well. Most of my use with these comes from the ability to hook up to your PlayStation 5, and phone at the same time. I listen to music while I play, or take phone calls when I would previously have to put down my game for the duration of the call. However, the one and only gripe I personally have with the headset comes up about once a day. Apparently the adaptor used to hook to your PlayStation wirelessly, struggles to compete with other devices on the same frequency in the area due to low power output. This glaring issue causes your Pulse Elites to disconnect from the PlayStation every once in a while.. there is no simple way to reconnect the headset causing you to fiddle with the electronics until it works. Despite that issue, the headset is perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better first party headset than this. Though the connection issue may be off putting, I promise the frequency of it is not high enough to bring the rating of this headset down more than 1 star.

Good headset with noise cancellation and Bluetooth phone capabilities. Headset is much more comfortable than the Pulse 3Ds and overall just a huge upgrade. The only thing stopping it from being a great headset is the fact that the adapter sometimes loses connection with the headset and mid game you have to pull it out of the PS5 and start your headset back up. It doesn’t happen that often but often enough to annoy you.

Comfortable yet awkward design. My girlfriend says I "look silly" wearing them. I like the auto-adjusting fit. The sound quality is decent, but not great. Excellent battery life now (~ 30 hrs) that's almost unbelievable. Time will tell how quickly this degrades. Consistent performance. The microphone cannot be adjusted and sometimes rubs against my face. These were designed to pair with the PSVR 2, which I do not have. These could be $25 to $50 cheaper in my opinion.

This was a replacement for my original PULSE Elite that started giving me connectivity issues. While the headset stays connected, it is amazing. It gives awesome realistic representation of all sounds and what direction they come from in a game or anything I'm watching. I hope this headset lasts and the issues I had with the first headset were an isolated situation. If it weren't for that issue, I would give it 5 stars.

When I hooked up this headset, there was an immediate request to update. After that, it was on to gaming. I love the sound, fit and functionality of this headset. Works great and thankfully, I haven’t had the disconnection issues plaguing so many. The only issue I have is not being able to adjust the Game/Chat balance (the option is there but it’s grayed out). I hope that issue is fixed soon. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase and consider it a great value at the price.

Amazing comfort and quality sound!!! Had issues connecting to multiple link adapter dongles however the original dongle it came with which is connected to the ps5 connects instantly!! I bought a second link adapter for my work computer so I could also use this for work calls and I’m not sure if the additional dongle is defective but it won’t connect from the ps5 to the computer. Unless I unplug the original dongle from the ps5 and put it into the work computer.

I got this for the sole purpose of playing a bit of FFVII Rebirth and reminisce about playing the original 27 years ago while the rest of the family is sleeping. As such, I couldn't care less about the microphone part, it will stay off. Games with kids screaming insults at each other are not my thing, but to each their own. This uses the proprietary Playstation Link protocol which is supposed to be lower latency than Bluetooth and also supports lossless audio. For casual gaming it sounds great, for hifi sound I'll stick with my electrostatic STAX headphones that cost 10x what these go for. Different use case. These come with one Playstation Link dongle that goes in your PS5, would be nice if that functionality was built in, I don't particularly like dongles. You can buy additional dongles to use the improved modes on PC and Mac, but they support Bluetooth as well. At the end of the day these work great, you'll get prompted for a firmware update the first use which requires both dongle and headphones to be plugged into the PS5 but that takes less than 5 minutes. Sound quality is excellent, and the battery life seems to live up to the rated 30 hours. Comfort is also good even with a larger than average head - totally happy with these.
