Headphones have soft comfortable ear pads. Smooth voices over the speaker and very lightweight.

Comfortable, mic works very well. I bought to assist with directional sound in game and its ok, not as well as I was expecting

It fits well and is not that heavy. Round ear cups may not fit everyone's ears: quality sound but no wow factor. It took me seconds to connect to the PlayStation 5; however, during gameplay, it would not stay connected. Once the signal was lost, it would take several minutes to reconnect and often require a reboot if removing the dongle and reinstalling it did not work. I returned it.

Pros: -Great AI Noise cancelling on the mic, -new drivers sound rich and full, -great 3d sound support that brings out subtle nuances. Cons: Lackluster design lead to mine snapping at a common hinge point for many spontaneously despite careful placement when not in use/carefully putting on/taking off the headset, intermittent disconnects without a clear cause leading to needing to quit out of application and reset console to fix, blinking LED indicator for Bluetooth connectivity grows tiresome quickly. Want to recommend these but with how carefully I handled these things and them STILL breaking in a universally similar point on the frame/subframe, its hard to recommend them. All it took was simply placing them on my head one evening and I felt some kind of vague snap along with a change in earpad pressure and after removing them there was a clear hard crack internally where the frame meets the sub frame headband adjustment piece rendering them un-usable as is. I managed to fix them via heat n bond tape with some support bracings underneath but to have to go to such an extent after just 3 months of use for a $150 gaming headset is beyond disappointing. I imagine many more of these exact complaints will be popping up within the next few months.

Battery life is amazing, sound is great, comfort is great, only two quarrels i have is that the lights on either side can be seen out of corner of your eye all the time, and buttons are a little small make it harder to adjust quickly. Still enjoying them tho regardless.

I put off buying these based on complaints I read about online but I have to say I haven't had any of the issues. Sound is great although I do recommend using the EQ right off the bat. Battery life is fantastic. Included hanging charger is a sweet bonus! Much more comfortable than the Pulse 3d in my experience especially during long play sessions

Sounds great, but random disconnects happen with ps5 Pro right in the middle of gameplay; every time I've to remove and attach the usb dongle again to make it work. I hope Sony could address that with some firmware update. Except for the random disconnects, sound quality is solid, battery life is good but, given the high price, ive my questions about the quality of thin skin on the ear paddings, which looks like will rip off in couple months.

In March 2024, I acquired the Sony PULSE 3D wireless gaming headset for PlayStation 5, which functioned without significant issues for nearly 11 months. However, a defect in the left earphone cushion necessitated its return. On February 15, 2025, I successfully received in-store credit, enabling an upgrade to the PS5 PULSE Elite wireless headset. I encountered a minor inconvenience when I discovered that the Midnight Black variant of the PULSE Elite, which I intended to purchase, was mistakenly displayed due to a stocking error. The sales representative clarified that, due to legal restrictions, this model could not be sold until February 20, 2025. Despite this setback, I was assisted in purchasing the PS5 in its white version. During my usage of the white headset, I experienced connection issues, with the device disconnecting from my PS5 on four separate occasions. Each disruption necessitated troubleshooting, including a factory reset and resynchronization with the console. As an avid gamer, I planned to return on February 20, 2025, to exchange the white headset for the aesthetically appealing Midnight Black model, so I considered these issues relatively minor. On February 20, 2025, at approximately 2:00 pm, I returned to trade in the white headset. The salesperson handling my exchange informed me that the Midnight Black version might not be in stock if it wasn’t displayed. However, I indicated its presence in the product staging area behind her. She explained that the Midnight Black headset would officially become available for purchase on February 21, 2025, requiring another visit for acquisition. With limited time, I opted to proceed with a trade-in for another white headset. Later that evening, at around 7:30 pm, I communicated with a live agent who confirmed the planned availability of the Midnight Black headset as stated initially for February 20, 2025. After verifying stock levels at the only Best Buy in my vicinity—a 30-minute dive, yet set to close at 9 pm—I made a call to customer service around 8:15 pm to ensure that the headset was available. Ultimately, I was able to trade in the second white headset for the Midnight Black model, but the overall experience was cumbersome. I understand that vendors like Best Buy aren’t to blame for technical defects in products, especially premium Sony products. However, the average quality rating for this purchase is based on the service received on February 20, 2025.

It has really good mic quality, really good sound quality. It can be difficult to pair if it’s not your first one. I’ve purchased 4 of these two of them broke on the side. What I finally figured out is that you can extend the rubber part and lock it in place so that it doesn’t break like that! To be fair I didn’t read the instructions except for how to connect so I’m not sure if it mentions that. I would buy it again with this knowledge and if it breaks again I give up on it but it does have great sound. To repair the device is a hassle and I had to look it up on YouTube

Sound quality is amazing, and the fit feels good. For $150, they're just as good, if not better than some $300 headsets. Only issue is that it randomly disconnects from the PS5 every once in a while. Frustrating when you're mid game. I've noticed that if you pull out the dongle from the PS5 and plug it back in, it fixes the issue.

I had a pulse 3d head set for 3 years and it needed to be put out to pasture. I went with the elite version this time around. It sounds good but Sony didn’t think some things out. Feels a bit cheaper than the regular pulse headset. Also the blue tooth receiver is very susceptible to heat. On the slim ps5 a the only usb ports are on the back, next to the heat exhaust vents. This heat can be enough to make the headset shut off randomly mid session. Had some catastrophic game ending moments in pvp as a result, yes I’m hanging those L’s on Sony lol. In order to fix this you have to buy another adapter so that you can plug the receiver into the front of the console via usb-c. It’s a pain to have to buy another part to make it work, but haven’t had the issue since. It’s a decent enough headset I wouldn’t steer you away from buying one but wouldn’t exactly steer you towards buying on either. Just know what you’re getting into with over hearing issues.

Very happy! Only cons for me. I wish the ear piece covers were not leather.. they do get a little warm after awhile. but they’re are very soft and light. Love the retractable mic. Everyone I chat with says they can hear me just fine with it retracted so really no need to pull it out for me.. love the placement of all the buttons.. very easy to find and operate. As far as the audio goes, they’re amazing. You can hear about every noise there is to hear. If you play stealthy games or battle royals where you need to hear footsteps or anything. These are great! I play a lot of Naraka: Blade Point (Ranked Top 50 in NA) ( EU tournament Champion). No one sneaks up on me anymore with these headphones on. Lol. The PlayStation Link works great! Just turn the headset on and it’s ready to go. But honestly, besides the astounding audio quality, the best perk for me, is the hanging/charging base! Mount it on the wall and your set up is instantly upgraded and looks great. I strongly recommend these headphones. Sony did another great one here. Great headphones and price! Actually just bought another pair for my friends birthday gift.

I bought these on the basis of Sony and Audeze partnering up. Im a fan of the planar models through Audeze, so I was curious how these would be for gaming. Setup was extremely easy, the USB reader picked it up fast. First, if you are a bass junkie, you will want to keep shopping. For space, detail, object based sense, these are excellent. Really love the atmosphere and detail in games like Diablo IV, Baldurs Gate 3. If theres too much sensory detail like explosions, they do have a tendency to sound overwhelmed. Crowd atmosphere in sports games like MLB are nicely carried out, speech is nicely understood. I havent really used the microphone much as I am solo gamer mostly, but if it shares any of the characteristics of Sonys higher end XM models, it will be good. They are very comfortable, the pads are soft, and keep out a lot of excess apartment noise (anything that drowns out my furnace blower is a win). Battery life , i had about 6 hours right out of the box. I will update when i do a weekend marathon. Solid purchase

Overall a pretty great headset. 3-D sound works great and battery life is awesome. There are occasional connection drops but reconnecting is quick and easy.

I’ve been enjoying using the headset. The sound is great, no issues with the mic and it fits comfortably however the headset will randomly disconnect while I’m playing. It hasn’t happened as often as when i first purchased it but it still does. Hopefully Sony will drop a fix to download soon

Great headset! Great battery life, and great sound quality. Overall ah amazing purchase. One problem that I had was the headset disconnecting randomly sometimes. But that wasn’t much of an issue, nor an issue anymore. I recommend this headset if you’re upgrading from the Sony pulse 3d headset. It’s a game changer and overall a good upgrade!

Everything about these headsets are great from the Audio, Noise canceling, Battery life, Multi Bluetooth and comfortable.

So far this has been an amazing headset for the money. Great sound with clear bass, and the 3D audio really gives you an added sense of immersion. Very easy to set up right out of the box, and a full charge seems to last through a couple of gaming sessions for me. The buttons are also easy to find and tell the difference between without taking the headset off to make adjustments. Also comes with a hook that you can mount to a wall, gaming desk, or entertainment center that also gives you the option to charge it while it's on the hook through contact prongs. No negatives as far as I'm concerned, very happy with my purchase.

Love yhe headset, connects to your phone or other bluetooth device. While yoi game you can take a call or listen to music or podcast. Not the best for music, but sounds fine. Overall, comfort is great, and battery life is amazing. My favorite PS5 headset.
