I bought these on the basis of Sony and Audeze partnering up. Im a fan of the planar models through Audeze, so I was curious how these would be for gaming. Setup was extremely easy, the USB reader picked it up fast. First, if you are a bass junkie, you will want to keep shopping. For space, detail, object based sense, these are excellent. Really love the atmosphere and detail in games like Diablo IV, Baldurs Gate 3. If theres too much sensory detail like explosions, they do have a tendency to sound overwhelmed. Crowd atmosphere in sports games like MLB are nicely carried out, speech is nicely understood. I havent really used the microphone much as I am solo gamer mostly, but if it shares any of the characteristics of Sonys higher end XM models, it will be good. They are very comfortable, the pads are soft, and keep out a lot of excess apartment noise (anything that drowns out my furnace blower is a win). Battery life , i had about 6 hours right out of the box. I will update when i do a weekend marathon. Solid purchase

I’ve been enjoying using the headset. The sound is great, no issues with the mic and it fits comfortably however the headset will randomly disconnect while I’m playing. It hasn’t happened as often as when i first purchased it but it still does. Hopefully Sony will drop a fix to download soon

Comfortable, mic works very well. I bought to assist with directional sound in game and its ok, not as well as I was expecting

So far this has been an amazing headset for the money. Great sound with clear bass, and the 3D audio really gives you an added sense of immersion. Very easy to set up right out of the box, and a full charge seems to last through a couple of gaming sessions for me. The buttons are also easy to find and tell the difference between without taking the headset off to make adjustments. Also comes with a hook that you can mount to a wall, gaming desk, or entertainment center that also gives you the option to charge it while it's on the hook through contact prongs. No negatives as far as I'm concerned, very happy with my purchase.

Quick and easy set up with long battery life and comfortable on your head

Overall a pretty great headset. 3-D sound works great and battery life is awesome. There are occasional connection drops but reconnecting is quick and easy.

Great headset! Great battery life, and great sound quality. Overall ah amazing purchase. One problem that I had was the headset disconnecting randomly sometimes. But that wasn’t much of an issue, nor an issue anymore. I recommend this headset if you’re upgrading from the Sony pulse 3d headset. It’s a game changer and overall a good upgrade!

Love yhe headset, connects to your phone or other bluetooth device. While yoi game you can take a call or listen to music or podcast. Not the best for music, but sounds fine. Overall, comfort is great, and battery life is amazing. My favorite PS5 headset.

Excellent headset... ive always been a turtle beach guy and this is the first headset ive bought not turtle beach. I must say i love the way this fits and feels, very light and the sound is great. Great pick up!

Everything about these headsets are great from the Audio, Noise canceling, Battery life, Multi Bluetooth and comfortable.

It has really good mic quality, really good sound quality. It can be difficult to pair if it’s not your first one. I’ve purchased 4 of these two of them broke on the side. What I finally figured out is that you can extend the rubber part and lock it in place so that it doesn’t break like that! To be fair I didn’t read the instructions except for how to connect so I’m not sure if it mentions that. I would buy it again with this knowledge and if it breaks again I give up on it but it does have great sound. To repair the device is a hassle and I had to look it up on YouTube

Quality product from Sony. Using recently aquired Audeze's headphone tech with their own 3d directional sound profiles, this headset offer true, high quality gaming experience right out of the box and relatively cheaper pricepoint than its competitors. Only draw back is the plastic build.

Bought it for my PS4 not knowing if it would even be compatible bc you never know. Luckily, it is and it’s amazing. Quality and sound is great, and it isn’t heavy. Stupid easy setup, just plugged in the usb drive. Just note you need to use a screw for the mount, not a stud.

Granted I only have a few hours using these at this point, but my initial impression is that this is definitely an upgrade from the Pulse 3Ds. The 3Ds were very good, don’t get me wrong, but the sound quality on these is upgraded. The muffs fit around the ear a little more snug compared to the 3Ds and the foam material the muffs are made out of is soft and feels luxurious. These felt very comfortable on my head for the few hours I played. I found that my ears did not get sweaty or hot using these, so that was also an added bonus with the upgrade. At first I was not sure I liked the fact that you had to go into the sound options (3x presses of the mute/pair button) in order to adjust the chat/game volume mix, but I now actually prefer this. With the 3Ds, I found myself fumbling with the buttons to try to get the right one pressed, but having to do this through the menu only takes a second and is now preferred. I also like that you can adjust the EQ settings on the fly. Increasing and decreasing main volume is now easier because there are only the one set of buttons. I played with the boom mic extended as well as retracted and there was not noticeable difference in my chat voice. I prefer to have the mic retracted so it is out of my peripheral view, but for those who prefer the "boom" mic, it gives you the option. Overall, very happy with these. Definitely an upgrade (as far as sound quality) to the Pulse 3Ds. Comfort is on par with the 3Ds, but the muffs are upgraded and do a good job keeping your ears cool.

I originally purchased the Explore buds and returned them after 1 day. These are way better if you just want something for in home use. They sound really good. They are very comfortable. Battery life is amazing. Only gripe is for $150 Sony doesn't include a screw to mount the charger?! But they are great and I am keeping them. I tell people avoid the overpriced Explore buds and get these.

Tried multiple headphones including Turtle Beach but these are the best headphones by far! Great comfort. No issues with connectivity or sound quality.

Great sound, good battery life. Can't give it 5 stars because it is a nightmare to connect. You tune videos, Reddit postings helped, but very counter intuitive.

Sound and mic quality is great and theyre very comfortable. However, they will randomly disconnect a few times a week without warning and you will have to unplug the dongle and on the ps and plug it back in to get it to work again. This is a known problem that i have spoken to sony about and they acknowledged. Whats worse is that they have a design flaw on the side of the headphone where they crack very easily. I take care of my headphones and they stay on my ps5 when not in use. I noticed a crack there after just 3 months of use. I googled this and found out that so many people have the same issue.
