It’s unfortunate that these products have a low rating because of people placing one stars on the pre-launch issue. These reviews are meant to help people decide if they want to purchase the product or not. For me the sound quality is great. I use it with my Sony portal and I’m very happy. Easy to connect and they do include multiple earpieces so you have the correct size. Sony did a great job with these earbuds. If you have a PlayStation portal they’re definitely a great accessory. No lag at all & comfortable to wear.

very good quality sound. I can sense the 3D sound in games and it adds a fun experience to the game. I did have one instance where the buds just disconnected on their own, and not sure why. if they keep doing that I might consider reducing it by one star. but right now, its 5 stars and a recommended purchase.

Great sound, comfortable, you’ll need to find the right size plugs for your ear which it comes with multiple sizes already, and learn to put them on or they will fall. Once you learn that they don’t fall at all.

Awesome gaming earbuds with quality sound. The earbuds can be connected to a PS5 or PS Portal via link connect and to a mobile device with Bluetooth. This gives the ability to listen to music from a mobile device and answer calls with out interrupting gameplay or game audio. It also allows for instant switching between a PS5 and a PS portal.

The quality is great. They tend to fall out of your ear a lot. They also seem to randomly disconnect throughout my gaming sessions but I just unplug and plug the dongle back up and it’s all good

After seeing a ton of reviews, most not being very positive I was hesitant on buying these. When I first got them home and tried them out of the box I'll admit I wasn't too impressed and immediately wanted to take them back, but after someone suggested I try some new ear tips and to update them to the version that comes with the EQ that Sony put out at the end of January my thoughts changed immediately. After adjusting the EQ I realized the sound was totally night and day then before, and with the proper ear tips the earbuds no longer constantly fell out of my ears and they formed a seal which trapped in the sound making it sound so amazing like nothing I had heard before especially from an earbud. For anyone reading this make sure you use an ear tip that seals because I found the ones that Sony included weren't really that good and make sure you download the EQ on the PS5. Also I heard people saying that there was constant disconnect issues which I've experienced only two disconnects in a 3-week period which I can't tell you why it happened but at the end of the day I've gone more than week without it happening so it hasn't been in real issue. Also these are amazing if you play in VR because the sound signature is truly amazing and you can hear everything around you. I owned a pair of the new pulse elite headphones and let me tell you these are right there with them. I ended up returning the pulse elites because the earbuds were more convenient and felt way more comfortable with VR. You can't go wrong either way but don't hesitate on buying these earbuds because they are truly amazing.

If you have a PS5, Portal and the budget for these, get them! They feel great in my ears (try the different earbuds for proper fit), they’re light which makes them very comfortable. Most importantly to me is they sound great! The charging case is pretty nice as well. Besides the price, i have zero complaints for what i needed them for. And that’s mainly for wireless earbuds for my Portal.

The sound is pretty good and the bass is fine. My only problem with these is comfortability. You need to angle them right when you enter them in your ear at least for me. I always can “feel” that they’re on as opposed to a headset. So much so that I’ve experimented with different ear tips to find the most comfortable way to use them. One more positive feature I enjoy is you can have audio playing from whatever you plug in the dongle to and connect the Pulse explore earbuds via Bluetooth to your phone/laptop and listen to both simultaneously.

They don't feel very premium, even the case feels a bit cheap. Sound is decent, but on the Portal at max volume they're not very loud. Considerably overpriced.

Very good earbuds. I use mine with my PS portal. It connects to two devices at once which is pretty impressive when you experience it in action. I connect to the portal to hear game audio, and I connect to my iPhone for voice chat on the ps app or discord, or a phone call, or Spotify. Works beautifully. I docked the score 1 star because it has no active noise cancelling. Super happy with my purchase tho. Would recommend to portal users.

Earbud fit takes some getting used to, microphone is too quiet on pc discord, sound is really good for earbuds, battery is mediocre and disconnection can happen if you accidentally hit the pairing button on the earbud

Not what I expected from a pair of “PS” Earbuds they sound good, but not enough for their price point. Understandably wanting to drop the weight of a headset. This was a good try slightly missed the mark with oddly placed buttons and weird fit, and also lack of a Battery while playing long sessions.

I wanted to write a review for these because it seems as a lot of people had the same issue as myslef with these ear buds. I could not get them to fit comfortably and sound good for the life of me. I kept switching all of the ear tips that were included in the box, and could not get them to sound or feel good at all. Before sending them back, I decided to get some foam ear tips and give them another chance. I can't believe how much better they sound and feel. With the original ear tips, the clarity was there, but the bass response was not. Also, the ambient noise from the room I play PS5 was too loud and distracting during gaming. It honestly feels like I am using a different set of earbuds by simply changing the tips. The foam ear tips enhanced my experience with my airpods pro, and now these as well. Not sure if I got lucky or not, but I just ordered a foam set that are intended for Sony earbuds in general. They seem to be working just fine, and have not come off in quite a few sessions now. Hopefully this helps not only people who are contemplating these earbuds, but also people that already own them. The ease of connectivity, sound quality of sound from the Planar Drivers make these a very competitive set of earbuds for PS5. The Pulse Explore earbuds make the gaming experience very immersive, and I'm not sure I will go back to my Steel Series headset. Also... I have also discovered that the 3D Audio option on the PS5 have made any headphones sound pretty bad. Linear PCM is true passthrough, and has been the default for every game I play now.
