Very easy to use and suits my needs as a device to do a "brain dump." I can easily reference recordings that I use as reminders. I have not used this to record conversations or meetings. Just a reminder tool that I keep in my car and make verbal notes while I am driving. Works great for that.

As an Author this is my secret weapon. It lives in my car so when I have a good idea, I can easily turn this on and record my thoughts. No fuss at all. It just works! Which is why I love it so much

The Sony PX Digital Voice Recorder is a great little pocket recorder! It has great features that are easy to use. And it has the ability to connect to computers via a USB to store your recordings! Playback is clear! I highly recommend it!

I bought this for my Brother in law so he could record the minutes of business meetings at Church. It was easy to set up and easy to train him on how to use it. After the meetings are recorded, I transfer the file to CDs so he can pass them out to other members. It is easy to use the USB feature and make copies on CDs.

I've bought many different products from many other companies, but this is the first time that I can say "this is the best thing I have ever bought in a very long time. Glad I was told to go to Best Buy and buy this recorder. Very, very satisfied. Thanks .

I’ve had quiet a few vc in the past and this has been the best so far..esp for the price. Plugs straight into USB ports, flagging system to help you stay organized. I used it to follow lectures with ppt and flag each slide as the lecture moves on. Excessive? Then flag each page of ppts. Makes ref specific slides quickly and easily. Highly recommend.

This is terrific. I have had MANY digital recorders going back to the Sony MiniDisk recorders then to a great Edirol model (that still works great), and two different models of the Zoom recorders. So, those are ALL higher end capable than this model Sony ICD-PX440. But they are also much more complex. My other recent device is a Zoom H1. There is no doubt it's higher end and higher quality (in what is produces) than this Sony model which is not high end and costs much much less. But since I don't do a high quality recording very often, I can tell you every time I go for the Zoom, I have to pull out the manual just to figure out how to access the menu system on it. There is NOTHING intuitive about the H1 for finding the menu--which kind of means you are dead in the water until you can figure out what button combination pulls it up. This Sony, in contrast, still has more menu complexity than I like but all these types devices do but I can find and navigate the menu easily.

Purchased for freshman attending college. Best idea ever at a great price. Gadget allows him to record course work in class and download onto computer (when necessary). Not very many of these recorders will allow you to save or transfer information recorded.

It works well as it says, it's easy to use and has a surprisingly good microphone for it's value.

I was skeptical on this item when I first purchased it. But you can literally record anything on this and it plays back clearly. I definitely recommend this item.
