After wasting good money on third party batteries, I have decided to only buy Sony batteries. Why take a risk on an expensive camera that can be damaged by a cheap battery? I have had cheap ones that ended up swelling and luckily was able to remove it before real damage was done to the camera body. These Sony batteries have built-in safety features that are made to work with Sony battery chargers. They are expensive initially but quite possibly cheaper in the long run, all things considered. I use the NP-FW50 in my Sony a6400.

Okay, so a couple of months ago, I purchased a Sony A6000 from Best Buy, and I couldn't be happier (see that review)! I started with the battery it came with because I thought I would snapping a couple of photos here and there, nothing too crazy. Well I was completely wrong!!! I fell in love with that camera, and then fell in love with photography even more! I could not put the camera down. I started taking it everywhere! So what's a guy to do when the camera dies? Purchase another battery of course! And that's exactly what I did. I purchased not one, but two more of these Sony - NP-FW50 High-Capacity Lithium-Ion Batteries. Yes, there are off brands you can purchase for cheaper, but my outlook on that is, why buy cheaper products for a high quality camera?! That defeats the purpose. These batteries charge fast, hold a charge for a long time (depending on usage of course), and even tell you the percentage of battery left on your sony camera screen. Plus, Sony is definitely a name you can depend on, and they back up their products if you have any problems. Anyway, definitely recommend this product for any of the sony line cameras. A bit pricey, but you won't regret it. Tip: You can find these on sale from time to time at bestbuy.com OR the other option is, find them cheaper somewhere else and Best Buy will PRICE MATCH! They are amazing at price matching.

Battery works well and held charge for just as long as the original battery that came with my camera. I did this order as a drive-up pickup and unfortunately the box given to me was empty (I assume it was KT.) I immediately went in the store and explained what happened to the workers inside. They were extremely helpful to me and resolved my issue quickly. Love this battery and the camera I got previously to use it in. No complaints with value or quality.

I love this battery for the size and portability, only thing i wish was that it would be a bit cheaper. but other than that, its enough power for a good photo session.

Bought a replacement battery for my Sony ZV-E10 for a trip. Didn't need to charge it throughout the day, and at the end of the day it still had 1/3 of the charge left. Size is perfect.

I am able to keep my Sony A6000 going for 300 shots. The compact size allows me to carry multiple batteries without taking up too much space. Battery life is shortened when keeping the camera on in standby or reviewing many pictures. Got three on clearance which allows me keep going for a full day of shooting.

After reading multiple reviews we opted to stay with a factory battery as others said the non-factory ones drained quickly. We take a lot of pictures and swapped the batteries out with no issues in length of time the battery stays up. The one with the camera and this one are no different in performance so very pleased.

Never go out on a shoot with just one battery. I use these in my a6000 and a7ii. I’ve tried the cheep knockoff kinds and they work just fine but these Sony ones seem to last a little longer and are just a little bit more reliable. I always keep a few extra charged ones on hand for every shoot.

The battery has been all that I could have hoped for. On a recent trip out to Missoula, MT I took pictures in Missoula, along the 212 out of Lolo, at Flathead Lake, in Glacier National Park (I take a lot of pictures and cull later) the battery still had a strong charge when I was done. Very satisfied!

Honest review, this is a great battery. It lasts a lot longer than I thought it would and paired with the wall outlet charger, its super great and very handy!

This battery is definitely a worthy purchase - it performs well, seems to hold its charge as much as the factory battery pack and is lightweight enough to carry around everywhere I go. Would suggest picking up a small bag or case to protect the contacts from humidity, sand, dust, etc. while still in camera bag or transport method.

I think this should be include when camera is bought . This works great charges fast , faster than charging battery in camera with usb cord Sony in des with camera . With this additional charger you are able to charge an extra battery using the camera attached to ac current and battery charger .

These Sony batteries are what go in our new camera's and we believe in always being ready for a great picture. SOO with that said one battery that came with the camera is not enough. We always go for at minimum 2 batteries. We currently take so many pictures we have 3 batteries for each camera of which we have to of the NEW Sony RX10-IV which have a range up to 600mm. When you ask for value.... Everything is expensive today so I give it a 4... because it is actually the cost of doing business.... even on vacation!

What more do you want. Batteries are always subject to use case scenarios so battery life always varies. I will say that this battery preforms just as well as the stock battery that came with my camera. Would I like for it to last longer, of course. Who wouldn't. Are these more expensive than aftermarket batteries, usually. To me though it's not worth the risk, putting garbage batteries in what I consider to be my investment. Do I want to buy another $500-$2000 device because I put an after market battery in my camera and had something happen? Not this guy. What ever you pay for this little guy, its worth it to have Sonys brand on it. Protect your investment with quality Sony products. I always do and its once less thing I have to worry about when I'm out shooting.

Works perfectly for my Sony A7 II. Happy to have extras around for when I need em.

We have had 2 of these batteries, one by Sony, as this new one is, and the other by another manufacturer. The original Sony battery is still going whereas the other no longer holds much of a charge and has swollen so that it no longer fits in the camera. We're looking forward to the new battery performing as well as the original.
