I took videos and photos on a recent once-in-a-lifetime trip and having a quick, easy to change battery saved me. Every so often I would run down my battery and it was a relief to have a new one ready to pop on!

Good battery life small package too carry in purse

Needed this for my older Sony Handycam. I had trouble finding one, but Best Buy came to the rescue. It works just perfectly.

The old battery was still working maybe just a little tired. The new battery lasts twice as long.

The battery works great. I receive at least an hour and a half on each charge. The battery charges quickly and during charging, it does not heat up.

A good battery replacement for the money and available

This is a great replacement/backup battery for my video camera. I have never had any problems with it. I think it is a great price for the value of the product.

We often have our camcorder in photo mode for lengthy periods of time. Having a spare battery when we are out in nature, where we cannot recharge the original battery, allows us the chance to get the occasional really good photo out of the many photos we take.

This is a pretty binary purchase - either it works or it doesn't, and it works. I typically wouldn't review something as mundane as a replacement battery - but hey, we're locked down in our homes and I'm getting some bonus points ... so I say "It works".

If you plan to do any kind of extended shooting with your handycam, especially in 4K, you have got to get this battery. Gives me at least two times the battery life if not more over the stock battery.

This battery is to supplement the one I got with my camcorder. It is necessary to be able to record when I am in the field hunting varmint.

This battery pack is great for anyone that wants to get more video and pictures from the camera. The battery pack last about 5 hours so you get more hours for recording. Can never go wrong with an extra battery pack for the Sony HandyCam FDR-AX33

This battery charges fully the first time overnight, and lasts for several hours while I’m out filming. Even with a charge and not in use, the battery still held a charge a week later and I was able to film for another hour.

I have other Sony batteries for cameras (and multiple Sony cameras), and so it was natural to purchase the Sony battery. I've had no problems -- and didn't expect any -- with the battery, and would certainly recommend it.
