Does have separate volume control but not enough of an addition to make difference when watching anything other than movies. Still nice size - disappears. Set-up very easy with sub and does create spacial volume to room.

Completed the HT-A soundbar with rear surrounds

No disconnects or compatibility issues over the past 2 weeks. I put the speakers on Sanus stands (EFSATB) and worked well other than the power cable being outside of the stand or replacing the plug to fish the power through the stand. Looking forward to the imminent Sony Atmos rear surrounds but these met my immediate needs to expand the Sony HT-A series soundbar with surrounds.

Actually are quite subtle on sound power, they give you the spatial audio and for that, they work perfect.

Somewhat different to hear the voices that should be in front of you talking behind you. Just not home theater quality that I am used to hearing, but should be added to the soundbar and subwoofer setup to complete the best sound for the system.

To ensure sound is being output from both the speaker system and the optional rear speakers, press the IMMERSIVE AE to turn on the Immersive Audio Enhancement function, the speaker system upmixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers. For this, you may refer to the guidelines below:
• Depending on the combination of the setting of SOUND FIELD and input signal, surround sound processing may not work effectively. The surround effect may be subtle, depending on the program or disc.
• To play multi-channel audio, check the digital audio output setting on the device connected to the speaker system. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the connected device.
