I was going to buy the 50 but with this 35 I considered the convenience of it small light weight easy to store and shooting video indoors was the best option for me considering I would be shooting in smaller rooms but at the same time its all around lense from video to pictures good buy

35mm is quite perfect for street photography as well as traveling. What I like the most about it is the small size and an aperture of F2.8 Great optics and outstanding image quality for sure. Its an easy to carry around lens.

Much sharper and more refined than the basic Sony lenses I've purchased. Overall a quality prime that I'll get a lot of practical use from.

It is a great lens, very sharp and compact, as a f2.8 lens, it is definitely a little bit over priced, but remember, you are not only paying for the performance, but also paying for its design and size.

Fantastic carry around lense. Sharp, fast and small. May be one of the oldest A7 FA lenses, but still one of the best.

This 35mm/2.8 paired with sony a7 is a good combination for everyday street shooting. However imho, overpriced for a 35mm prime.

This lens is truly exceptional. If you're looking for a low profile lens that is super sharp and pulls true color this lens if for you. It's a bit pricey but don't hesitate to buy it. If you buy a lesser piece of glass you will end up spending more anyway because you won't be pleased with the results.

There was a time when Zeiss was the go-to for high-quality glass. However, when comparing these (and other) Zeiss lenses to the entry-level and more affordable Sony, Rokinon, or Sigma lenses, it becomes clear that Zeiss is resting on their laurels. It's sharp, the autofocus is mid-grade, and the price tag is too high for those to be the case. If you are replacing an existing 35mm AF lens, you might be disappointed in how little the difference will be for how much it costs.

This lens is very sharp and has minimal distortion. Due to the wide angle of view and with the camera set to aperture priority and a small f-stop, (f-11 or higher), you can discreetly capture candid, in-focus shots of people in public places by triggering the shutter via a phone app.
