Easy setup and pairing. Great sound volume, although I never crank it up. Usually play jazz (Coltrane, Han, etc), crisp sound. Love portability, have brought home for WFH twice. Fits in briefcase just fine. Bought two more for wife and teenage son. Also got the XB43 for outdoor play / connection this spring, and family room quarantine jam sessions.

I usually get 4-7 years out of them before the battery starts failing. This one puts out great sound, has the x-bass feature which enhances the bass. Sound quality is great given its size. It fits in the cup holder of a golf cart as well. It'll go in excess of 8 hours on a charge with sound on the higher end. Sony never disappoints.

The portability is a big plus as well with the drawstring serving as a bonus that allows you to hang the speaker so it’s off the ground or tabletop. Now the main thing - the sound. Sounds great with clear presentation of my music. Note, the speaker leans towards the bass side of things but not so much that music without bass sounds bad. Recommend.

I connect mine mostly to the Switch, which is finicky auto connecting sometimes. I experienced no hiccups when connecting to different phones and other speakers. Unfortunately no Aux port, but that's possibly due to it being waterproof and would defeat the purpose. Haven't tried throwing it in water, yet.

In fact, it is tuned to produce high bass output. Paired up with my Mac mini right away and operates flawlessly. After locking/shutting down computer, speaker will not auto pair upon power up. I just simply pick it up, hit the power button and the unit re-pairs itself to the computer again. Small inconvenience.

Personally I use one in a private for-hire minibus/party bus and guests have no complaints, they love being able to sync to it and play their favorite music while out on the road. Easy to use. Slender size doesn't take up a lot of space, blends in.

Water, dust and shockproof is really cool. But, After I charged it a few times I noticed that I was only getting about two hours of use when It say's it gets up to 12 hours of use. Also it didn't come with a USB power adapter, only the USB cord.

When charging the speaker, make sure you are using the supplied USB Type-C cable. If you are using a USB AC adapter, the charging time varies and may depend on the capability of the adapter. I use the product to amplify music from a smaller electronic device but in no way use it as a giant speaker or for large parties or anything like that. The product is compact, solidly built and fairly easy to use if you know what Bluetooth is and how to set up a product using Bluetooth.

I saw no reason to spend $20 more on another brand. This is my third blue tooth speaker. We have one in my house, one in my office and this one was purchased for my girlfriend.
