Good volume just a little muddy sound

It has decent volume and connects to my phone with no issues. The sound on music seems a little muddled, I also have a Bose that I use in the house and its sound is very crisp and clean. But for use in the shop this fits the need and the cost.

I decided based on my experience with some other Sony audio products. The sound is adjustable through the app, so if it isn’t quite to your liking, get in there and tweak it. I turn the bass boost on for music and off for audio books. This is mainly used for the garage and around-the-house while doing projects speaker. I’m delighted compared to my experiences with last generations Bluetooth speakers. This Sony connects quickly and easily, the sound is terrific and the battery life is astounding. I’m usually a black color picker, but this dusty blue is classy.

We are happy that you love it! The SRS-XB23 has undergone extensive shock testing to make sure it can withstand the inevitable knocks, bumps and scrapes that come with everyday use. Even if you drop it, the SRS-XB23 will keep on working. It also has an IP67 rating which makes the speaker dustproof, waterproof, rustproof and washable.

We had to go with the Sony as the UE Boom was sold out. The speaker plays good sound when you are directly in front of it. But to the sides and behind it, not so much. This goes against the claim of 360 sound it claims. It is very difficult to tell if the unit is on, the buttons do not light up and the "on" sound is very low. The unit is very light and functional. However, we were not impressed with Sony's equalizer app. Can we get a user friendly interface? All in all, it accomplished what we wanted which was sound on the beach. I would prefer a little more volume, but we were not without music. We are still partial to the UE Boom over this model. But not a bad replacement in a rush.

If you haven't yet, please update the firmware of your speaker to the latest version 3700 as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. Often when we cannot, we just reset the grouping.
