Great Bluetooth speaker! I use this to play music while taking a shower. I can use my iPhone or iPad with it. I can also walk around the house and it don’t lose connection..

Volume high probably last you about 8 hours Great for the beach.

I’m not sure if it should sound louder but however, it’s a great speaker crisp and clear music coming out the quality is top notch. I like the type-C port as well as the battery notification bottom.

Great sound, also comes with application create playlists, dj effects, and control the lighting on the speaker itself. A party in a speaker!

Feels nice and worth the money, lights fun to use. Automated voice is very detailed and doesn’t sound cheap. Lights can be played with to play with the music you play. So cool (:

I’ve used several of their line of these speakers. I still use my XB41 to this day, though I think the XB33 will take its place. I wasn’t expecting too much of a difference but boy oh boy is there one. The addition of the side-firing “woofers” definitely brings more to the table than just have 2 speakers and 2 Tweeters to drive all the sound. The fact that this change was made, helps the Live Sound option to sound so much better than before. On my XB41 the Live muddled everything but the highs and those were way too bright so I stuck with using my own sound profile. Now though, that’s a different story because the low frequency response is handled by the woofers. Sound is no longer muddled and everything is boosted. It does sound like they adjusted the mid-range with the Live Sound profile as before it seemed as though it was completely missing. All the typical features of the speaker are there though. You have your USB port to charge a device like on previous models. There is no aux this time which is a shame, but I think that takes away from the fact this is a Bluetooth speaker. The biggest change here though and it’s quite a shame it didn’t make it in to the last series with the style now being the standard in mobile devices and even laptops, is USB Type-C. This is such a huge welcome change as it means less need to have a certain style cable with you anymore. Now I’m not certain if it supports fast charging and can find no mention of it. If it does, then I’d imagine you’ll spend much less time waiting than you would the previous generations. Another thing is that there is no DC charging anymore which is again very welcome. I can’t recall how many times I misplaced the charger for my XB41. Battery life is on par with previous models, though I never used it for that amount of time straight. I would keep my 41 in the bathroom so I could have music while in there or listen to a podcast and typically charge it every other month. It holds its battery over long term incredibly well. Even the little XB12 I have holds its charge for long amounts of time. If you’re looking for a fantastic sounding Bluetooth speaker that’s waterproof that you can keep with you by the pool or in the yard or even out on the beach, I’d say you definitely can’t go wrong with this generation of the XB series. Can’t wait to see what Sony cooks up next.

Sony has been killin' it lately in the premium audio products sector. I own multiple styles of their latest headphones and love them all. This is my first Sony bluetooth speaker and it continues the trend. The XB33 is on the smaller side so it is very portable, but it puts out big sound. Its got 3 sound modes, Extra Bass, Live, and Stamina for long playing. To me the Extra Bass mode sounds best and it definitely delivers the bass for a smallish audio device. Another thing I like about it is when you press the 'on' button it turns on immediately, no delay in waiting for the speaker to power up. And connecting to your bluetooth device takes literally 2 seconds, its very fast. Sony advertises that it is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof so it will stand up to the elements when outside. They also say the battery will last up to 24 hours with the lights turned off, but I always have them on because it looks awesome.The light show syncs with the music, its constantly changing colors, and it is a lot of fun to watch. I love this speaker, tons of fun and sounds fantastic!

It’s a better buy when buying the Sony speaker sound system. It’s well weighted to carry around and bring music anywhere else. Battery life is very mediocre and almost a no sell but I still wanted Sony so I can connect it with the bigger Sony speakers. Don’t buy at full price and it will feel good. But both at half the price on sale and it will feel like money!!!

The speaker is nice. Has good sound.But i find it to be a bit smaller than the picture shows.

This has to be the best Speaker for its price, it gets Loud Af it’s definitely way better then the Beats Pill and JBL Speakers, the Lights it has when it’s dark it makes the environment feel more alive and the Fact I can charge my phone with it makes it double the value and then I love how Fast af I connect it with other Bluetooth speakers you gotta go in the Bluetooth settings and select it, but with this speaker I just turn it on and it connects automatically I love that, the 24hrs of life is amazing and the fact I can bring it to the pool and at my work in construction without having to worry it’ll damage it’s incredible and believe me you won’t Regret buying this, best Speaker

The Sony SRS-XB33 speaker is a great choice for a portable Bluetooth speaker. The XB-33 has great full-range sound and cool lighting that you can customize by downloading the Sony Music Center app and the Fiestable app. I like that you can add the apps of your choice into the Sony Music Center app so all of your entertainment apps are right there in one place. The XB-33 has passive radiators built into each end of the speaker to give you that extra Bass punch. It has a USB-C charging port which is the latest tech and is what new phones use. Additionally, it has a USB-A out port so you can charge your phone, headphones or other devices with it. The Sony SRS XB-33 has great range and a lot of clarity especially with the LDAC high-quality wireless Bluetooth feature turned on under Bluetooth settings on your device. I have found it sounds best to me with the live feature turned off. Furthermore, you can connect up to 100 more Bluetooth speakers together to play simultaneously. I am very impressed with the sound quality of this speaker and it is a great choice for outdoor use whether you are by the pool or out in a boat the IP67 water rating will keep it going without issue if it gets wet. I would not hesitate to recommend this speaker to anyone looking for one in this size range. With all of the Bluetooth speakers out there these days choosing one can be difficult. For the price of this speaker, it is a great choice that I feel anyone would be happy with!

This is a really good speaker for the price. I bought it for the portability and it seems to be living up to the specs. While I haven’t listened to it for 24hrs straight it does last all day and then some, which is good enough for me. The higher quality sound doesn’t really start until you get close to half the volume. However I’ve found this to be typical in smaller speakers like this. The sound clarity is quite good I’ve listened to music, podcasts, shows and movies with no muffling. The bass was surprisingly good as well for the size. I purchased this speaker over the Marshall Emberton solely because it was on sale. I would say these two speakers are very similar if you’re looking for something more aesthetic. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I have a Harmon Kardon Onyx 4 that I got for less money (at Best Buy) and it blows this away sound wise. So, I recommend this speaker if it checks off what you’re looking for.

Bass is great. Sound is great. The bigger model must sound perfect. I have no complaints. I work 12 hour shifts in a warehouse and blast music the entire time. By the time I get home, there's still 30% battery left. The lights are cool. I didn't even realize there were lights until I first turned it on. No connectivity issues. I don't find the app too useful. For example, you can turn the speaker off from your phone but you can't turn it on. My only issue is i can't find a shoulder strap type of carrying case for this one, but I see plenty for the bigger model.

I've had the same bluetooth speaker for about 8 years, and it is finally starting to glitch on me so I decided it was time to get a new one. This speaker is great, it has really good sound quality and bass. I haven't tried any of the party/sync features, nor have I tried max volume, but for general use I am more than happy. The light effects are a cool feature but I don't use them much to save battery. The battery seems to last a good amount of time, I usually only have to charge once a week or so with regular use around the house. I haven't tried using it as a charge pack yet, so can't speak to that. It does automatically turn off if you are connected to it but not playing music for a while (not sure what the time-out period is), but I personally am okay with that because usually I'll just forget I'm still connected to it if I'm not playing music.
