Such great quality on just my Bluerays can only imagine how gorgeous 4K might look. Even DVD’s look nicer. It has quite a few apps, the ones I use like Amazon Video, VUDU and Netflix. Many others also available to add like Hulu, YouTube, sports apps, etc.

Relatively speaking this is an inexpensive 4k player. But Sony has packed this player with (Most) of the important features only lacking Dolby Vision at the time of this review. Though I have read in numerous areas that Sony will likely add Dolby Vision in a future firmware revision. The Picture and sound from this player are still amazing and nothing to be ashamed about. The only other player on the market I would consider is the oppo 4k player which I don't believe is available via Best Buy. All in all a great purchase and backed up by numerous reviews on YouTube.

Good quality picture reasonable price. Easy to figure out

Watched 3 HDR and 1 non-HD blue ray. All looked fantastic. Unit is very quiet. Only negative is that it gets fairly warm, even when not powered on. It may be due to a setting where the unit is on standby for faster start times, but I could be wrong.

As expected, Sony makes a great unit. Video is the best!!!! way above avg. Blu-ray and 4K through player will blow you away, very good! Unit controls are also very good, vary user friendly.

We haven't used this player very much for ourselves, mainly for our children. I wanted this player ever since it was released but the regular price was too steep. We happen to be in Best buy one day and the player was on sale at a price we weren't going to pass up. The player and remote are simple in design and easy to operate.

Sony's 4k Blu-ray player is well worth the wait. So simple to set up: make the connections, download the update and that's it! After following the instructions in the owners manual, I was finally able to use the audio codex's including Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. The player boots up quickly, and plays back 4k disc's in stunning detail (check out Planet Earth II!). The only thing it's missing is a display on the front panel. Other than that, Sony has a winner. I think it was a great idea not to include a 4k player in their PS4 - I only use it for games. No CD's, or movies.

Black Friday was the best price I found on this Sony 4K player, this has the same tuner and apps as my new Sony TV . So if you have an older smart TV this can help you with all the latest apps and therefore add a little more life to your TV .

We absolutely love this DVD player. Can hit a button on the remote control and open up Netflix. We don’t have to switch the TV to a different channel just to use the DVD player. It’s clear, hdv a better picture it’s amazing how you were Karen

Sony's always made the best bluray player and this by far is the best one I've seen to date it will play just about anything you put in it from a CD up to a real 4k bluray and everything in between with remarkable picture and sound quality!

No doubt you are looking for a premier Blu-ray player, qualified for 4K content. Look no further. Unless you shell out 6 times the money for something prettier to look at, rest assured that this IS your best bet. You want crystal clear picture? Check. You want exceptional Smart Features? Check. You want a deal? Check. You can’t even buy a VCR for this price! Seriously, look no further! Sure, it’s not white like your iPhone, or chrome like your rims, but so what? In 2018, you can be different and feel validated in doing so! Get this one.

For the most part this is an excellent blu-ray player. Streams, disc watching and especially sound quality are amazing. One little glitch is that it sometimes freezes up on start up and I can't do anything except unplug the unit and plug it back in to reset. I'm hoping a firmware update in the future will resolve this issue.

this will be your last 4k dvd player you will ever need! just pair it with a sony 4k tv, optional sony receiver, and I have polk audio speakers to complete a top notch visual and listening experience that keeps me out of the movie theaters!

I was looking for a reasonably priced player to go with my Sony 4K tv and this one fit the bill. It was very easy to set up and works beautifully. Easy to set up and it comes with a lot of extra apps. I would highly recommend this player.

The picture looks excellent! Especially the nature movies! The actions movies are also great! The only movies I was disappointed with were any older movie tried to be remade into 4K. But all in all I would recommend this movie to others!

This 4k uhd blu ray player is very good quality. I have it paired with Samsung JS8500 TV and this picture quality is amazing. I was using the Xbox One S but this is no comparison to my new Sony Player. I always purchase Samsung but after reading reviews on their 1st generation player, I said absolutely not! One of by best early adopter decisions I made. I haven't experience any buggy mess. Possibly, I didn't experience anything because I had a firmware update immediately when I turned on the player. This is a no hesitation buy. Just do it. Be Blessed!

Used this several times now and no issues. Picture looks great and works well with my LG TV. I did get once instance where the machine froze up on me after watching a 4K Ultra Disc.

I am kind of a snob when it comes to electronics, let me say I am no expert, I have had problems with other brands and so far I have never had any problems with my sony tvs [2], blue-ray players [2] or my sound bar. I would have given them 5 stars but nothing is perfect. The picture quality is great from the player.
