Had this unit for a month now. Wonderful picture, easy setup. I did experience a few freezes during 4k disc play which required me to unplug unit. After firmware updates good so far. A few lessons learned upgrading to 4K: 1. Make sure your Audio receiver is HDMI 2.2 compatible. Had to use second HDMI for sound. 2. You need a good HDMI cable, but do not need to spend a hundred dollars to get quality video. 3. Had to set TV / Projector input to Enhanced mode to get 4K resolution. Overall - Unit is very quiet, and responsive. Beautiful picture. I Like it !

This product is what is expected of Sony, it’s easy to use and has all the latest features for a reasonable price. It streams quickly and you can tell it converts to high res. Overall happy

I honestly wasn't expecting much from this player but wanted to see what UHD discs would look like on my oled, and I was curious about the music 'uprezzing' feature. I was coming from an older 'audiophile' bluray/cd player and I really did not expect this player to blow me away like it has -- the sound is fantastic! CDs, SACDs, bluray, and uhd blu ray ALL sound better than any video or cd player I have had in my system before -- more solid, more detail, and very large soundstage. Video is also very good -- my old player had an exceptional Anchor Bay chip in it and was unparalleled for blu ray playback, but I don't feel this player is inferior in any way just different. BUT, this player will do UHD bluray and does just a stellar job with it. First UHD was The Revenant and it was like a brand new experience! Also Youtube HDR is supported which is a nice treat. Highly recommend this player.

I picked this up at Black Friday price so it was an awesome deal! I could not be any more impressed with it. It is solid and the 4K movies look fantastic on my Sony 70" UHD, HDR television.

Unbelievable 4K UHD playback of HDR 4K Blu-ray movies. Retired my regular Blu-ray player and will use the X800. Glad I upgraded because I still can't believe the quality of sound and picture

Build quality is nostalgic! They don't build things of metal and heft anymore. Well, this one seems like it will be around for a while. Best player I could find between features, functions, and reviews!

Received this unit for free when we purchased our 4k TV. I wasn't planning on buying this unit, but I was blown away on the picture quality from our 4k blu-rays. Highly recommend this unit.

A great value, especially as a Black Friday deal. Excellent 4K player and respectable streaming device. One downside which is incomprehensible is the inability to use PlayStation Vue.

This is my first 4K Blu Ray player..I went on you tube and watched the reviews by different people and that is how I decided on this one. . It has different settings you can choose for audio and video I thought it was easy to set up. I have it connected to a 4K tv with a fast speed HDMI cable. I do not have a sound system, I bought my first 4K movie Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 and it looked great on the player.

After buying a Samsung 4K player that crapped put on me after 3 weeks, I'm so happy I switxhes to this Sony! Fast player, amazing pictures and plays my HD audio and FLAC files as well!

Things have come a long way from rabbit ears and static filled TV! I can't believe how over the top the picture is. This unit allows us to play our new media with the same top quality!

Bought for $149 during Thanksgiving week. -Syncs well with my Sony XBR65X900E -4K and BluRays look amazing on this player -Standard Def Dvds are upscaled very well After reading other online reviews and 'warnings' I decided not to connect my player to the internet & won't use it's built in apps for streaming - I've got my 4K Roku for that!

This was well worth the money. I plugged it into my Sony 7.2 home theatre and it set up everything automatically. When I power up the 4k player the TV and Home Theatre come on automatically. My home theatre remote controls everything. It upscales even DVD'S to 2160 (4k) even my Blu-ray get upconverted from 1080 to 2160. Awesome picture quality. I love it!

I bought this Blueray player to match with my new Sony Bravia 4K HDR TV. DVDs load very quickly (compared to my old Blueray player) and it is easy to set up and use. Highly recommend.

Even though I don’t have a 4K tv, I replaced my older Sony 6500 with this unit. The colors pop with the same tri-luminous processors in both tv and 4K units. Well worth the purchase.

This Sonny 4K blue-ray player is great, glad I bought it and the price was very good. The aaps are good and the picture is great even for DVDs that are only blue-ray. Very satisfied.

We read reviews on Best Buy as well as CNET reviews and decided to get this Sony player. It was problematic at first to get it to link up with the TV because of all the anti pirating protections, but the troubleshooting helped us to straighten that out.

I finally got this Sony 4K player to go with my Sony 4K TV and I could not be happier. The sights, the sounds, the hype is spot on. This is how movies were meant to be seen at home.

The Sony blu-ray player is awesome. Don’t waste your time with any other Blu-ray player this is the one to purchase. The Samsung player can’t beat the Sony for quality and features.
