Great Blu Ray

Great value but software update is weak.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased two of these units had issues with both right away, Spent the whole weekend trying to do the online firmware upgrade Sony‘s website was down second one of the settings in the software has a issue regarding certain preamp‘s with the HDMI handshake (24p) spent hours with Sony’s tech-support, they were useless, I had to go to my preamp manufacturer and they troubleshoot the problem. I miss the old Sony

Great 4K player

I've been torn between this and the LG player but I decided most reviews favored this one. So I went out and bought it. Right out of the box you can notice premium quality built. It feels very sturdy. The set up was easy. Plays Netflix great as well as every disc you put in it (unlike Xbox one s). The reason I'm taking one star away is that it constantly shows error connecting to the internet. It can't be my set up as everything else is working well. All-in-all good player. Would def recommend.

4K Blu-ray Player is GREAT

I have had it for 2 years now with no problems. It runs all my super OLD movies as well as the new 4K movies. The older movies are extremely clear; they almost look like 4K. GREAT PRODUCT.

Looks Great but Hangs

The Martian 4K disc, The Martian Special Features Blu-ray, and H*e*l*l Boy DVD. Each one of the discs has hung the machine at some point during playback. The first two times I had to unplug the player and plug it in again to get it going - it wouldn't respond to the front panel or the remote. I waited a bit longer with the DVD and it actually rebooted the player and restarted.
