So far, so good... excellent picture quality and easy to use. Set up was seamless with my new Sony TV.

I bought an LG 4K HDR player... but, I was disappointed in it. It experienced audio dropouts on several titles. I exchanged for this Sony unit, and have been very pleased with its performance!

This player does a fantastic job of playing 4K video and can handle any audio you can throw at it!

purchased this when it was on sale and so far, its been getting the job done. ive watched a few blurays and they all played well. Ive only watched one 4k uhd disc and it looked great as well.

I was looking for a blueray that gives great picture quality for my media room and this fits perfect. I love the quality and the speed and ease of use.

Easy hook up and the remote was easy to learn. Found nothing better in the reviews and price. Well worth the money. Had two Samsungs in five years and both went bad. Glad I went with a Sony.

This is an excellent 4K BLUE RAY player and the only complaint I have is that it was sold to me as a zone free player and it is not that. This was as per the sales person who helped me make the selection. I have not returned it because all other features are great!

I purchased this unit while upgrading my system to accommodate a 4K HDR TV that I have yet to purchase. I have watched a couple movies with it though and it works perfectly. Happy customer.

I love this Blu-ray machine. It is a Smart machine which of course connects to the internet. It was effortless to install. I am NOT a technical genius so I appreciate that I simply followed the onscreen steps and in a few minutes I was watching my first movie. I got a new tv too and this pairs up nicely to that unit, My movies look so beautiful. I watched an action film and it seemed like it was happening right here in the room! Love it!

Easy set up even for a non-tachie. Easy fit with a Bravia. Great quality and wonderful 4K Ultra HD pictures.

I purchased the Sony 4K Bluray player but returned it because the two free movies with purchase was inaccurately described by the sales representatives. I did not use the player but I understand from people who purchased it that it's one of the better 4K players.

Over all good functioning but slow response to remote control inputs. Often wants to go to "other aps" rather than the DVD. Must shut off and restart to get to the DVD ap...the only thing I want to use it for.

I replaced my Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player. Don't get me wrong. The Samsung is good, and I still have it. Donated to my Step-father, Along with my Samsung UN65HU9000FXZA. I purchased Sony 930e, and connected the X800 to it. The difference is like night and day. The x800 loads fast, set up was a breeze. The 4k content is beautiful. The construction is sturdy, not like the k8500. It feels like cheap plastic. Highly recommend this sony x800 to anyone.

Added this to my LR. I also have a Sony 4K TV, so it almost set itself up. Everything looks/sounds fantastic and is not glitchy, as my earlier "bleeding edge" other brand player was, but in fairness, the Best Buy Salesman explained to me at the time of purchase to expect that with the first player, so I was forewarned. The software caught up to the technology after a few months, and that unit is working fine elsewhere in the house, no longer glitchy.

I needed to replace our old Blu-Ray player and this one was on sale so decided to try it out. We have an HD projector and this is hooked up to it, and the quality with Blu-Rays is great (don't have 4K so can't review that aspect). DVD playback is acceptable, I was hoping for a bit better upscaling though. I had a problem with a DVD that was not in the greatest shape, it caused the Blu-Ray player to freeze. I had to unplug it in order to get it to work again, but other than that it's worked well. Altogether, for the price this is a good Blu-Ray player with a nice set of features.
