I'm not a big fan of SONY AV products but I purchased this as a secondary Blu-Ray player and it delivers outstanding video and audio. The ease of use, technical specs, compact size and light weight are a plus. Although the next SONY model up from the BDPS1700 offers Wi-Fi, the compact size and the capability to play several formats made this unit my choice.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. What I like about this unit is its compact design and ease of use. Additionally, the price point was less than I expected.

1st off, I already had this model Blu-ray/DVD player, and am happy with it, so I bought another as a spare during the Black Friday sales. Plus I want to help keep physical media sales alive. Being I'm mainly into physical media (games, movies, & CDs), this is a great 1080p Blu-ray player for the cheaper price. It also upscales DVDs to HD nicely. Now, I do have a 4k UHDTV, but I opted not to get a 4k player (at least yet). I'm happy with 1080p upscaled to 4k, and my TV upscales 1080p nicely. I'm happy with it, especially for the decent price.

Easy to use blu ray player. No complaints, works as advertised, picture is fantastic. If your player is not close to your router, the streaming will not work since this is not a wifi player, you will need to use an ethernet cable directly to the router from the player. Other than not, you will not be disappointed. Very compact and light as well.

I bought this to replace one I had that stopped working. This was super easy to install. I've had it for more than a month and so far, no issues have came up. The price wasn't bad either. I'd defintely recommend this if you're looking for a bluray player to watch your movies in.

Added a tv to our trailer and bought this for times smart tvs dont have wifi ability. Perfect size and works amazing.

Easy to operate DVD player. More importantly it was easy to set up very quickly which makes it a great buy!

Awesome! I gave it as a gift and the birthday boy was so pleased. It is so compact but packs a punch. Great quality in such a small package. Such a hit. He was so pleased and now can enjoy his most favorite movies on an amazing player with great quality and playback!

Easy setup nice picture compact size can’t set screen size

Exactly what I wanted. Small and simple. Got a refurbished one and it works great.

This player for price and its purpose is best and well suited for any home or budget. During this time of the virus lock up, it has become a major part of the whole day entertainment. It has afforded me the time to view past films that I had always said I was going to re-look at again.

Size is compact, easy to set up. Plays regular and blue-ray DVDs.

Bought this to replace an old DVD player so that we can still play some of our old movies and exercise videos. We dream most of the time but for this price we couldn’t resist. Glad we did because it was easy to set up and works great.

Great picture quality. Easy set up. I loved the background screen when playing my MP3 CDs, it is very relaxing, nice to fall asleep to. The background screen on my other DVD player is a vibrant blue, which lights up the the room, which is not the best thing to go to sleep by, while playing an MP3 cd.

We bought this to play our mainly dvd library and music cd’s, and it has exceeded expectations on both. Super purchase price and a small foot print are added bonus, we don’t have any Blu-ray Disc so can’t comment on that.

I bought this because I did not want to put unwanted strain on my gaming system. the price was excellent and it is serving its purpose. it's also wonderful because you can watch DVD's and Blu rays. I am slowly moving towards Blu ray, but I still have quite a few DVD's. It's a win-win situation with this purchase.

Does a great job for the price. Small and light, and the picture is very good. We are using it with an outside projector and it makes all the connections simple.

It plays DVD's well. There aren't very many apps on it, and you can't add more. Getting to the apps is slow. The remote is very crowded, and it is easy to press the wrong button. It is small, so it won't crowd out other devices. Easy to set up.
