We were camping, and our original DVD player gave out. Luckily, there was a Best Buy nearby, and this was the most reasonable Blu-ray player. We have many of these same DVD players at home, so I know they are good players.

The Sony Blu-ray player you can stream all the apps, Netflix and YouTube it's great to have but you do need internet to stream, and you can play your movies on Blu-ray and DVD I would recommend this products

Was looking for a simple, basic dvd player to replace one that no longer read dvds. Good choice for a new player.

I wanted a Blu-ray player. My TV, AV Amplifier and Media server ALL connect to the Internet. I didn't need yet another device to connect, report, and update. This unit plays DVD and Blu-ray really well which is all I needed it to do. It's small and very capable. Just what I needed.

Honestly, I haven't had much of an opportunity to do any real comparison with other similar products. However, since I bought a Sony T.V. I complimented it with a Sony Blu-ray disk player. I love watching movies at home. The quality of the picture as well as the ease of using the player/remote control are great. No regrets or complaints.

Very small and compact. Perfect for next to the TV . Love this DVD player.although there's no.wifi on it..just wired wifi if you need to do updates. But we don't need wifi on it just as dvd player so its perfect.

I can now watch my DVDs while in bed. The remote is very easy to use. Reasonably priced. Very pleased with this Sony player.

I have needed a new Blu-ray / DVD player for a long time and I am very happy with this one. [My son helped me choose it]. It's a small size and fits nicely, simple and easy to operate. Very happy with it.

I bought this along side of my 40 inch Smart TV. As a Blu Ray/DVD player it does the job. As a streaming device, it has been nice since my smart TV has had issues with my wireless connection. I've used this device to plug in directly bypassing those issues. Not as many streaming choices as the TV but it has all the big ones available.

This Sony DVD player seems to work well. Clear, crisp picture and easy to use.

Well, I'm not elated with it, but I'm not mad either because it was inexpensive and it does play my dvds and Blurays... so it does the job, is small so it fits in its slot, picture is fine very nice. Just a bit slow on the uptake, but again, it does do the basic job I got it for. I do like that it is compact size and for the price it's fine. It works so far. Longevity, well I can't speak for that but I do have an older small Sony player that looks a lot like this one and it has lasted for several years (outlasting the quicker but apparently less durable inexpensive Samsungs that I've had and had to replace) and my Sony experience with longevity of cheap units was why I went with this one instead of Samsung.

Here's the deal: I had a Blu-Ray CD player but I hardly ever use it. Someone sent me a CD the other day and when I went to play it the remote control as so corroded that scientists are clamoring to get a look. So I pitched it and the player in the can and went to Best Buy and found this little beauty. Very simple. Very good quality. And a corrosion-free remote.

Great player and picture - easy to hook up and play- controls are easy to understand and use

A quick replacement for my aging first generation BlueRay player. One quarter the size and several times faster to load. The controller is also much smaller, but is not quite as friendly as the older remote: too many multi-function keys. Just takes a little getting used to.

Sony Blu-rays - We love Sony products and try to always use just this brand of Blu-ray player since we have had problems with other brands. We love the quality and ease of use.

Much better than our out of date player. Easy to hook up. Great to watch all those old dvd we have during COVID-19. ( we also have vhs... to date us). Looks good on these new huge tv ... like being at the movies.

We needed a new player that would at least meet the visual standards of our new television - everyone is thrilled with this Sony item. The ease of use/set up, high quality, and aesthetic looks are what we have come to enjoy with Sony products and this unit is no exception.
