So far this new one is performing properly, picture and sound quality are excellent for the price of the unit. like anything else, you get what you pay for!

When I connected this player to my Sony TV, the TV's input source automatically switched to the player, and the player's tiny remote controlled the tv as well. Neither of these happened with my old player. I didn't need built-in wifi since my tv already had a Roku stick, so I saved some money compared to other players. It just all works...no issues.

This met all my needs plus it was on sale. If your TV is on, then you power on this DVD player it will automatically switch to that input. I read some reviews that had a negative connotation towards that but I find it useful. No problems with it so far. Had it for about a month.

I don't have a "smart" TV but needed a new DVD player. He saved me from possibly buying a fancier one than I needed and called my attention to the model that was on sale. Very pleased with him. The product works exactly as he explained it to me and I like it very much.
