The only reason why I didn’t get five stars is because you are not able to hook up to the Internet and use the streaming features unless it’s hardwired. Found that to be truly disappointing and it would’ve paid extra for a wireless Wi-Fi connection.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I very much like the Sony Blu Ray BDP S1700 DVD Player that I previously owned and just gave out after lasting 5 years, so I know all about operating it and was very glad to find the exact model in the store to replace it. I did give it only 4 out of 5 stars because like all such players on the market today it no longer includes video/audio line inputs/outputs that used to be called RCA connections. Now that there streaming everybody just uses HDMI to connect things but I like to have line inputs/outputs anyway.

The price was very reasonable and it preforms well. The movies display in full vibrant color. It's a pleasure to curl up on the couch and watch a movie using this product.

Works as expected and it’s small and light to put anywhere. Nothing spectacular, but does the job.

Had an older Blu-ray that was still working fine except a few of the newer movies we purchased would play but with none or very little sound. Got this and all is well. Like the compact space saving design.

Great little bluray
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This little guy plays Blu-ray Discs very bell and the picture looks awesome. If it only played dvds then it would be 5 stars, but because it offers online streaming options I gave it 4. The streaming features leave much to be desired and the home menu for streaming feels crowded and messy. I haven't tried the PlayStation feature (have yet to acquire a dual shock 4) but it looks like a fun addition.
