Really good for what you're paying

In-laws needed a DVD player while we were staying with them over the holidays (who wants to receive an unusable gift?), and I thought, why spend around 35-40 dollars on an essentially obselete technology, from some mediocre brand (or weird, off-brand things that always seem to get middling reviews) when for a pretty nominal increase in price, I could make a fairly big jump in technology and future-proof then for a little bit? Sony makes a quality product and they've succeeded here, in-law was disappointed it wasn't able to access their internet to use the apps since they didn't have ethernet, only WiFi, available at their house, but that's not the product's fault - frankly having one less thing to worry want was a relief to me - though I'm sure that's a serviceable feature as well. Good remote, snappy, fairly quiet, and fairly priced most of all.

Very nice little player

Had an older Blu-ray that was still working fine except a few of the newer movies we purchased would play but with none or very little sound. Got this and all is well. Like the compact space saving design.

Sony used to be the best, but now just good!!!

Although i haven't been using it for the apps, or any internet connections. The Bluray and dvd player operate perfectly, but on negative side didn't like lack options like a picture zooming feature!

Great addition to home theater

I don't use the apps since I have a Roku Ultra, so I use it for movies. Video and audio quality are great with blu-ray discs as well as the upscale feature on DVD only. No complaints. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Make sure you have it wired to your internet modem or a pop up won’t go away the whole time your watching a movie. It works awesomely otherwise.
