So far so good. Not many replacement options for DVD players. Using it for dvd/blue ray. Have not used the streaming service. Not sure why it's even needed in this device. No buttons on the unit so it's remote only so don't misplace it and hope it doesn't stop working!

It is a great blue ray and dvd player, the size is excellent, the functions are great, the picture is amazing and the sound is perfect. This is a great system Esther to see a movie from a disc or streaming from the apps.

Very good and very simple to use! Like because is compact and easy to install!

I returned the blu-ray player only because if I stopped play it would not return to the same spot; it would go back to the beginning. That was the only reason. Everything else was fine. And that was with the only blu ray disc I had (The Blue Dahlia). I bought a new player, and more blu ray discs. The new player is quite good. But then I played The Blue Dahlia again, because I had also been doing some reading the first time, and because it's a very good movie. With this disc even the new player would not return to the same spot if I stopped play. So, apparently there is something odd with the disc, and returning the previous player may have been unnecessary. Hopefully this review will partially make up for what appears to be a wrong return.

This was a gift for 1 of my parents & let’s just say the entire household was happy to own a dvd player again after so many years. I won’t really review the streaming aspect of the device because I bought it for the sole purpose of playing dvds. It’s great, small, doesn’t take up much space and I was genuinely surprised to see it came with a remote AND batteries included.

Blu-ray player is exactly as described. It is very easy to set up (within minutes) and works seamlessly with our Roku tv. We wanted a blu-ray player for our main family room and this fit the bill perfectly. Picture is great. Seems to be everything we were looking for.

Really good product for watching DVD and BluRay discs; no issue connecting to wifi to access YouTube. Only major drawback is that the apps pre-loaded on the TV are old and mostly defunct, and you can’t add new ones (like Disney+). But for the primary function of the device, to play DVDs, it works great.

Excellent, small and easy to use and setup. Due to its small size can be put in anywhere in your entertainment center. Works with Harmony remotes (if you are using one of those). Used with Sony TV so it automatically configures HDMI link which powers on the TV when the Blu Ray Player starts

We needed a new DVD player and found this Sony Blu-Ray Disc player met and exceeded our needs. And it has built in WiFi so no need for another cable. Just needed the HDMI cable, that was included. That right there was a big savings; having the HDMI cable included. And it was on sale.

Best Buy wants me to write a review and here we are. I never use this item it was a refurbished or something but it didn't come with remote control or power cable or anything. Buying those items separately would have cost more than the player itself so I just returned it. No harm no foul. Can't give a bad review and I haven't tried it so given the option I'll go with the five stars besides who's buying DVD players anymore

Gave 4 stars because I've only had it for about 2 mos so I don't know about durability. Picture and sound quality are great for this price point. Easy to setup and use ( And I am old). As long as it continues like this I will be very happy I bought it.

The blu-ray player has a very easy to use menu which is great when attached to a non-Smart TV. The color and definition bring out the best from the disk. I would purchase again.

Would have nothing but a Sony. Quality and use are extremely easy. I use this in nursing homes to show programs based on faith.

The setup was the easiest. A great price. I didn't realize the extra online links available (YouTube, Netflix, etc) built in.

The Blu-ray Player is great! I bought it as a Christmas gift for my brother, whose old DVD player had stopped working. He and his family love it and can watch their DVDs again. They also love the streaming apps on the player. My only complaint was the delivery. It was supposed to arrive three days before Christmas. Despite reeceiving notification that it had been delivered, it didn't come. I waited an extra day, just in case it had been delivered to a neighbor. (My assumption is that it wasn't delivered at all, perhaps taken by the delivery driver.) I contacted Best Buy, and everyone I talked with was nice and understanding and worked to send out another one. After they did an investigation, they did send me another one, which arrived about a week after Christmas. I was disappointed that I didn't receive it in time for Christmas, but Best Buy did good by sending out another one via a different delivery service. The player itself is absolutely fantastic!

First, if you want a Blueray disc player, then this is pretty good. It pauses a bit to load, but that's okay. The main reason I wanted this, however, was the 300+ apps so I could watch things on Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc.. It turns out this model comes with less than 25 apps, and cannot have more added according to Sony. So I called Best Buy asking for one with 300+ apps for the same price, as this one was advertised as having such on their website. They told me to talk to Geek Squad. I went into the Best Buy nearest where I'm staying and the manager told me that Geek Squad cannot even plug it in and look at it, let alone try to get more apps on it. When I asked for something that could have 300 apps for the same price, as it was advertised as having it, they refused, saying they would graciously accept a return on the item despite my not having the box, but that was it. When I told them it was false advertising they said it was Sony's fault, and that's it. I guess having a company doesn't mean having to fact check, or make things right. So I guess I'll just do without a Blueray player for now and eventually get my reward certificates back. I don't tend to post negative reviews, but then again I'm not used to being treated this way.

Easy setup and compact size! The menu interface and the remote control buttons could be improved, but no big deal. I haven't tried the streaming services and any of the additional features yet (screen mirroring).

It was exactly what I needed. Great quality, easy to hook up and very easy to operate. I am planning on purchasing another very soon.
