It comes with the right cable and connects easily. It may not last 15 years, but by then the relatively few discs I own may be worn out or irrelevant anyway. If you need a player for DVDs and Blu-Rays this one is just fine.

The add-on apps seems a tad limited but that could be because of contracts with Sony. It does its main purpose well and I have no complaints about playing Blu-rays, DVDs, and even CDs. Side note: I had a reason to purchase 2 and have them in the same room... I see it's a known issue, but the IR remotes will run both at the same time if the players are close enough. Just and FYI
