This player was easy to setup and worked perfectly out of the box. I didn’t need them, but it had built in smart apps. So, I’d your tv does not have the ‘smart’ feature, thisnis a nice addition.

While I'm very happy with the picture quality of the player, I just wish that it had at least a 2 channel RCA output for music because the amp I use doesn't have an HDMI input.

HD to 4k upscaler is amazing, makes everything feel like original 4k. Superb 4K disk image quality. One gripe is sound cuts out sometimes when using the second HDMI sound only output, however I believe this is a comunication error with my reciever since its 10 years old. If i pass the sound through my tv then to reciever using optical cable, no issues. Just lose some of the advanced sound formats, dolby and dts true hd sound.

Replaced a Sony UBP 700 with this unit (do not recommend the 700 as it has issues where it stalls and hangs and must be unplugged to fix)

The video plus audio qualities of this unit are tops in my opinion. This along with the numerous features and careful attention to detail make this a great unit to own.

Hooked up to my 86 inch tv, and it gives good quality picture; even old style dvd's look pretty clean. I don't use it for music, so I can't comment on cd playback.

I got it because it was in the Magnolia section, and was the cheapest thing there so I could say that my whole entertainment center is Magnolia. Samsung QLED, Klispch RSB-6 and now the UBP-UX80. It was on sale for like $199. Sometimes you have to eject and reinsert Disney blu-rays because for whatever reason, the don't read them correctly the first time. But this only happens with Disney blu-rays. Other than that, it's worked just fine. I've had it over a year and there haven't been any new firmware or software updates since the initial one after I bought it.

This Bluray 4k player is flawless, It even does 3d which I use a lot. Bought it for $180 on sale which is $120 cheaper than the x800. It is the exact model though.

The player itself has great quality components and pretty quick. The only issue is the inability for resume play... which is important for those bing streaks...

Wireless is not linking up for some reason but thats ok , i have firestick. 4k movies look great and the sound quality is even better with the magnolia series.

It works. It has smart tv functions. Remote is a lTitle weird. But it all works. The Start up process is a little long to get it to where you want it.

Works great, tried several other brands but this one does it all. Really dont use anymore because there is so much to stream for free

Top quality 4K player. Plays 4k, Blu-ray and regular DVD flawlessly. Streams multiple internet apps. Picture quality vivid and crisp.

I have only watched a few movies on this player. I have noticed a big improvement in picture and sound quality as compared to my old Blue Ray player.

Fit and finish are superb. I can not imagine a better image and the sound through my Kef system (not the tiny eggs) is every bit as good as it needs to be.

Love Sony. No complaints. This thing is heavy. And yes I still watch movies on dvd. Picture looks great on my 4K Samsung.

Much needed blu ray player with apps pre installed. Only downside is not having the actual android store to add more apps.
