Had they not done this I would've kept it. This player came the closest to what I needed. DVD, BD, SACD and DVD-Audio and optical digital output. Pick one up if this is what you need

If you are looking at the ubx80, buy this 1000 instead. It's super fast and has front panel display to know what the player is doing. The ubx80 doesn't have that and you don't know what it's doing.

Probably the BEST Blu-ray Player Around.

Also GREAT for Blu-ray audio disc playback. I really like the front panel LCD display and the RCA type audio output jacks in the back, in addition to the digital outputs. Highly recommended.

Better than Good

There is a rolling black area on the TV's picture during 3D playback. As many setting as possible have been adjusted during playback but the rolling black area remains. Not sure if the cause is the player or TV. Would give 5 stars if aforementioned condition did not exist.

The X1000 has a digital optical port, and AV ports - it also has some more streaming apps. So unless you need those things than I would opt for the x800 and save some cash.
