Outstanding performance! I watched a movie the other night and was very, very pleased with ease of use, and the clear sharp picture it sent to my television.

Easy to set up. Provides great clarity of picture and sound. Replaced a DVD player that did not play Blu-ray discs. We are happy with the difference in quality and price was great on Cyber Monday/Black Friday deal.

I love this DVD player. It has a lot on It like Netflix. And things like that, which is awesome, 4K stuff. Definitely worth the price.

While the picture was very good we had a problem when we hooked it into the stereo we bought through Best Buy. The audio sync was far off especially with Blu Ray discs. The Sony has the option of adding some delay to the audio so the picture frame can catch up to it (vice versa?) but this only made the problem worse. We really needed an option to provide the opposite of the delay that was allowed. Not sure if this was a problem with this unit, or not. I attached the Sony directly to the TV and the sync issue was almost gone, almost. We returned it and bought a Panasonic hoping for better results.

This model is great; way better than the Panasonic and certainly better than the lesser known brands, I would know because I foolishly bought the 'other brand' first and ended up returning that one, and going with this one, anyway. Rule of thumb: "Buy it cheap, you'll buy it twice." Yes, it makes a difference. It works and is exactly as they tout it to be; read ALL the descriptions before you buy. One complaint: I don't understand why there are not more apps available (to stream content) but I knew that going in, so it's fine. We get Netflix, Hulu and YouTube, that's it. The Smart TV we are about to purchase is going to take care of the rest of it. I recommend this product for sure.

Easy to connect. Perfect size , doesn't take too much space on the tv stand. Very easy to use. Love it

I’ve used this unit for over a month and am very pleased with it, having tried CD’s, DVD’s, and both standard and 4K blu-ray disks. I was very pleased with the ease of setting up the remote to control my LG 4K TV. I initially was having trouble getting the unit to respond but got it resolved quickly using the troubleshooting section of the user manual involving connecting the power adapter to the unit in the correct order. I have not as of yet tried the many other features of the unit but for what I purchased it for which is playing all sorts of disks it is all I could hope for. One comment about the remote: although it is small it fits easily in one’s hand and controls the TV and unit appropriately. Overall I couldn’t be more pleased.

Sony - UBP-X700/M Streaming 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player was excellent choice. The picture is clear and audio is great. If you still use Blu-ray player this is a great buy.

great player no problems I have never had any problems with anything I buy made by Sony.

I am not going to go into all the pros and cons just one con that really knocked off two stars for me. The APPS or lack there of. After doing the update it only really has youtube, netflix, and fangangonow (replaced Vudu) but they removed Hulu and there is no way to ADD more apps really wanted to add my Disney+ and Movies Anywhere Apps and Hulu of course so I don't really consider this a REAL streaming player otherwise it does play my UHD discs just fine on my 4K TV.

Great product to have. I had been eyeing a 4K player for quiet some time and finally took the dive to purchase one. So far, I am very impressed at the quality of this device and I enjoy that it is very easy to use.

Great buy very easy to set up, upscales older dvd's fairly well but the picture quility on new 4k is awesome.

Very good, reliable Blue Ray player. Sony offers a very easy set up process. I like the apps that come with the player. I also like that it can enhance the non-blue ray discs.

First off, yes i experienced the freezing some have reported but doing a full setting factory reset and disconnecting it from the internet has fixed the issue. Now I can play anything without the possible one time freezing! IF YOU ONLY WANT THIS PLAYER FOR PHYSICAL DISK THEN BUY IT! Once I did those two things the player works without any issues and the thing is quick to load and produces an amazing picture! I didn't intend to use the apps anyways since I have a smart tv. Also idk why people complain about the controller, its comfortable and easy to use and the player it self looks fantastic!

This 4k player is an amazing value for your money. It is not the cheapest but I would argue that for the money, it is the absolute best. The build quality seems good, but to be honest this is sitting on a very secure shelf on top of a PS4 I don't expect to jave to test the build quality. I don't use this machine for anything but playing dvds. Personally I don't need the extra "smart" functions, but it does come with them. So if you wanted to, essentially you could use this as a multimedia hub type of situation. All in all you will definitely get your monies worth, and hopefully you'll be as elated by the quality of picture and sound output as I am.
