Over all I am pleased with this purchase. It has a good picture, the remote is easy to use and set up was a breeze. Initially, I had difficulty deciding between this player and another brand that had similar functions, but didn't have wifi and was a slightly less expensive. Since this one had apps, for direct streaming, I decided to spend the extra a and get this one. I thought it would be like my ROKU and I could add all the apps I wanted. I was disappointed when I found it only have 14 apps and there was no way to add more.

A nice size to replace my previous Blu-ray which did not have 4K when I bought it

It is no longer the norm to own physical copies of media, but I prefer an object I can touch to a collection of code that I may or may not actually own. I know that makes me "old" but oh well... Once we had a 4K TV it was inevitable that we get the matching Blu-ray player. This Sony model fits the bill perfectly. It is a small footprint but it has a heft due to its hardware. It is quick at loading even 4K discs, reliable and the picture is gorgeous. These players are all more expensive now - thanks digital code only people - but this one is a very good price for an amazing product.

This will be my third Sony Blu-ray player that I have purchased. Which should say something in itself. All three have been different generations or models. I have zero complaints about their product and appreciate the sleek design, ease of use and capability of playback of every format including Super Audio CDs. Hats off to Sony and Best Buy!

Bought this to pair with QN90B 85" and I couldn't be happier. Great sound and really easy to set up.

I wanted to upgrade my 6 year old 4K player as my tv has Dolby Vision and this is from what I read one of the best lower priced 4K players you can get with Dolby Vision. Only issue really, and one other pointed out, is that you always have to turn Dolby Vision on. It doesnt automatically notice it with any movie.

Works great. Color and sound all enhanced. I do recommend.

I don't have a 4K TV so I cannot vouch the picture quality but I found the sound quality particularly good. I had several DVD players of different brands and I found out that a Sony player can read DVD/Blue-ray slightly dirty or with minor scratches that were rejected by other brands of players. So when I had to replace my entertainment center DVD, I choose the Sony UBP-X700. I only put 4 stars because of the absence of a display (common to all brands of recent players).

4K great quality picture next bring on 8k. Definitely go with 4K for now until 8k occurs then buy 8k DVD player. Always go with the new technology.

Compact size. Excellent performance. I’m always a fan of the Sony remote and UI. And it came with the appropriate hdmi cable. That is always a welcome inclusion.

Simple and easy to use,price was good set up with no issues

Great size, good quality and works well with my Blu-ray movies.

Delighted with this DVD player. The remote includes a button for opening and closing the disc drawer. The picture is full screen as opposed to our previous player which had a large black picture frame around each movie we played.

the remote is way too small. it plays many files and great audio.

Love this little box of entertainment! Picture quality is excellent. Also, for technical reasons we don't understand, when connected to our LG TV, this player provides improved (louder, etc.) sound quality. Best part - the built-in selection of streaming apps with the ability to add others make it much easier and quicker to access those apps than stepping through the cable provider's menu on the TV, even with voice control.

Very good 4K player. This replaced an LG 4K player I had and the picture is just as good. The controls are better too.

The last time I purchased an at-home movie watching device it was 1982. Betamax. What quality that product had. Further down the road I was given a laser disc player. Could never figure out how to get my old Elvis Presley albums into them. So, I gave it back. Now, I bought this device to play audio cd’s. The sound quality is impeccable. No speakers required. It just spins right up and hums all night long. Unimaginable response time. Cooks waffles to perfection too. Can’t wait to transport it across the Atlantic! Good luck!
