I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He said it was easy to hook up and a breeze to operate. He has been playing old concert videos he transferred to dvd, and they play perfectly.

This is a great, inexpensive 4k Blu-ray player. The picture and sound quality are excellent. I did figure out that when watching Dolby Vision IQ with precision detail, you can get some judder if you have it set to output at 24p instead of 60p if your TV doesn't support high refresh rates. Once I set it to 60p the judder went away. Unless you need HDR 10+ on your Blu-ray player, I think this is a great buy.

I have used Panasonic in the past for my BluRay video player. This changed when certain BluRay disks did not operate correctly. I even updated the software and still would not work. Next, I did some research on players and then I went to Best Buy and found the Sony at an excellent price. I went home and the BluRay disk worked great as well as any other disk I played. I was so happy with the performance and the price, I went back and bought another for my second 4K TV. I recommend this brand, product, and buying experience from Best Buy.

Haven't bought a DVD player in a decade since going all-streaming, but I recently bought a big LG OLED C1 and wanted to see what it was capable of with a 4K Blu-ray player, playing some of my favorite movies. In short, the picture is spectacular. Streaming is still great and has very good picture and sound, but 4K on an OLED is like seeing the movie in the theater. I put on 2001: A Space Odyssey and was blown away by the clarity of this now-pretty old movie. As far as sound goes the LG has a little bit of a bug playing back DTS on standard Blu-Ray players. You have to go into the TV's settings and make sure Sound is set to pass-through. 4K discs with Dolby Atmos work great. I also like the small footprint of this player, taking up little room on my media table. Only downside is that in all these years of developing DVD players why does the load-time still take so long? I know 4K data is massive but c'mon, it's 2022! And those FBI warnings in the beginning which you can't skip past. Makes me thankful for streaming. Nonetheless, I'll use this player for my most treasured movies.

This 4K Blu-ray player replaced an older Blu-ray unit in my theatre system. I had to be certain that the player played 3D blu-ray discs as I have hundreds of them and specialized in 3D cinematography in the past. The product is excellent. It also provides access to Amazon Prime, Netflix and many other apps and using them is easy. Therefore I am giving this top rating.

Ok, this thing is AMAZING! I got it on sale for $149 because I have a PS5 but HATE that the PS5 forces HDR and it looks like garbage…. Setup was a breeze and I used a high quality 4K HDR gold HDMI cable with it and wow! You do have to tinker with the settings a bit but it’s WORTH IT! You have to enable Dolby Vision in the settings. Once you do, prepare to be AMAZED! First movie I watched was Joker and the picture was phenomenal. Then, to my surprise and amazement, I popped in a regular Blu Ray and my LG C9 displayed Dolby Vision! Yes!! This player converts regular Blu Rays to Dolby Vision! Friggin’ sweet!! Every Blu Ray I’ve watched has been converted to 4K Dolby Vision by the player!! It’s seriously like watching these movies all over again! The player also supports various streaming services. But I use my TV for those usually. If you’re a movie lover, this player is worth every penny, especially on sale!!

The Sony 4K DVD player really plays movies well. I have a Q led TV and the player augments the overall performance and picture quality of my television! I find the player easy to use and install; a great overall great pick for people who want quality, performance and user friendly controls!

We didn't realize we would need a UHD disc player when we bought our first 4K UHD Blu-Ray movies. Silly us. But, wow, what an upgrade in viewing intensity. The upscaling on regular Blu-Rays is awesome. No need to replace our movie library, as this player improves the viewing experience significantly on discs we've had for years.

I've played a bunch of 100GB Blu Ray movies and just finished watching all 8 seasons of Game of Thrones in 4K Blu Ray and none of them have skipped or frozen. Flawless playback and incredible image and sound quality! I double checked the firmware and it was updated to the latest out of the box already. I was contemplating going with the $500 Panasonic but this does everything I need at a more reasonable price. Only con is manual switching between HDR and Dolby Vision in the menu. Not a big deal to me but an annoyance to some.

I purchased this Sony dvd player based on recommendations from an in store Sony representative, the player gives a beautiful picture on all DVD formats, it is connected to my Sony mini led tv, hta-5000 soundbar and Sony subwoofer it plays and sounds excellent. So far very happy with the player.

Responsive, easy to control. Satisfied with the 5.1 playback and how it upscaled my older disks Includes bloat-ware streaming channels that I don't need.

Good budget 4k blue ray player. Lot of features including wireless networking. I am using a digital to analog DAC and can connect player to my amp and wired speakers. Synchronizes perfectly with LG C1 OLED TV. Upscales 1080p blue ray disks perfectly.
