||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This bluray player was very unreliable, the screen on my 4K samsung TV kept turning black with no audio, at first i thought it was a handshake issue but then realized that the player didnt want to power down to restart it so i would have to disconnect the power wire from the power conditioner i have all my HT products connected to which was a hassle to do when you have all your wiring setup and reconnect it back just to get the player to start working normally. I ended up having to take it to Geek Squad for service which was another aneurysm to deal with and 2 weeks later getting it back as "Unrepairable" and since i did have it under a 4 year replacement or repair warranty, i was given a refund to buy a new player which i thought i would automatically get vs waiting two weeks to tell Geek Squad I TOLD YOU SO. I honestly miss the samsung bluray players, never had an issue with those and even my higher end Oppo UDP-205 and UDP-203 and evn mt Panasonic DP-UB820 years later far after warranty expiring still work 100%

The best part about this player is that you can pay DSD CDs and output to your stereo system, which is awesome if you have Super Audio CDs. We love the clarity of sound and it works very well with our Krell.

It plays any disk you put in it, crystal clear picture, I recommend it to a few people already I have movie night every Saturday with it, I also enjoy watching it in 3D, it’s a great product to own, I’ll probably buy another one for the bedroom also.

Limited apps, but I only use this to play discs, so not that important in my use case. Would give it 5 stars for the audio quality alone, but this player have issues with freezing and would need a power cycle from time to time.

I mean crystal clear… I was impressed. The 4K streaming apps are only a couple buts that’s because not many are streaming 4K, yet. When they do, you’ll be ready. Hooked right into receiver and sound system. The sound is better than the theater.

I mainly use the x800M2 for CD and USB playback. CD's and USB MP3's have a new liveliness and musicality. I am now in the process of putting my favorite MP3 albums and compilations onto a USB thumb drive. This becomes a solid state high resolution music server.

Setup was a breeze, and the upgrade to this unit was a noticeable improvement. Upgrading the firmware to the latest revision was also easy and quickly accomplished. Not a single thing to really complain about with this unit - would buy again.
