Using this to play on our Sony OLED XBR-77A9G through our Pioneer Elite VSX-LX301 using the HDMI ARC channels. Integrates well. We replaced an older Samsung 4K. This Sony responds much quicker to all remote inputs. Really like that. Gives great 4K and upscalled DVD pictures.

This is a great 4K DVD player. It makes the movies look really clear and sound fantastic. It is the same width as my other stereo equipment and looks beautiful instead of the smaller DVD players that are about half the size.

I love it! I'd recommend this. I did the research and it lives up to the word. It's a good player.

I recently purchased a Samsung QLED Q80R TV and a Samsung Sound Bar. I would have purchased a Samsung 4k Blu-ray player but after I researched 4K blu-ray players it became clear that this Sony was better than anything Samsung currently is offering. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

This was my 3rd Sony UBP800 4k blu ray player. Using it in workout room. These have excellent build quality and great video quality. I also like the fact that they will play SACD's! Excellent player at a great price. Got this one on sale at Best Buy.

I really like this 4k player from sony. I had been using an xbox for a 4k player, but I read they aren't the best 4k players. I picked up Sony's upb-x800m2, best mo ey I spent on a 4k player, the picture is even better now. I highly recommend this 4k player.

Bought this 4K Ultra HD player when I purchased a new Sony 4K TV. This unit was recommended by the Best Buy sales rep and it pairs with the new TV very nicely. After a few simple setups, you will enjoy an immersive movie experience at home. Highly recommended!

A sleek player with excellent video quality. It starts pretty quickly and has easy navigation and menus. I wish regular DVDs and some Blue Rays looked better, however. The player is supposed to upscale, but maybe the DVDs I’m playing are cheap and so the upscaling isn’t great. Or maybe I just expect too much. Not sure which.

I moved into Norwalk just about two years ago. Love my apartment - the neighborhood - the landlord BUT, the ONE thing I like MOST - BEST BUY is 3 traffic lights away! Over the years I had been the Sales Manager at a COMPUSA. I really loved the job.... NOT saying anything about the company - ONLY that I was totally immersed into "my love of AI and electronic devices" Who remembers DRAGON SOFTWARE ? ( in the early days) Anyway - As a father of three great people I have purchased 9 DVD//Blu Ray players over the last two years. While I will admit that ONE is a different manufacturer but the other 8 are made by SONY. I've NEVER had a bad experience with a SONY product. They do exactly what SONY says it will do. I really appreciate the people who work at the Best Buy near me. Never steered into "something else" And, while I think I replaced one Sony due to an internal flaw, I make it an integral part of my purchases there, to purchase their extended warranty. What can I say?

Wow is all I can say. I spent a little more for this than I did for the other Blue Rays I have at my house but it is so worth it. The video is great and the sound I’d out of this world. I recommend this to anyone looking to improve their movie experience.

Player is fantastic except for the fact that you have to manually switch Dolby Vision on and off. Absolutely ridiculous that this is not available as an internal feature and switch automatically. Hopefully Sony updates this via firmware. Apps and UI has been dumbed down. Picture is exceptional and disc load times are ultra fast.

My old BluRay/DVD player stopped working. It was old, so I should have expected it. I have a lot of DVDs & some BluRays so I needed a replacement. I gave it the big test by watching The Lord of the Rings (Extended Edition) over two days. It worked well, and it was on sale.

Very good quality. Noticeable difference in 4K verses blu ray. Highly recommended!

I expected a lot better quality from this player. It has locked up twice in the two evenings I have used it. Can't even cycle off the power without unplugging the unit. Very disappointed. Having to move a 75" TV to reset this unit is a pain. Video quality is great, along with the audio. Maybe its a defective unit. I'll give it a couple of more tries before returning the unit. We have two other SONY unit from WALMART that have worked flawlessly for over three years.

Purchased to replace another player and works fantastic on my blu ray discs, if I ever start collecting 4K ultra HD discs, I'm already set with this unit. I'll never go purchase the cheaper players, no matter what brand, it's worth investing on a better unit. Very easy to set up.

Quirky operation and for DV need to do manually but picture quality and sound is just amazing. Amazon prime struggles to load and it’s not a streaming device at all.

Set is easy and this was replacing my 8 year old Blu-ray player. I decide it was time to up grade. After shopping around this one has the Dolby Atmos sound which was a must for me because so far everything that I started up dating has that built in and the sound is awesome.

I must admit, I was shocked. I got on the 4K bandwagon early on just I did on BluRay (remember “Into The Blue” with Jessica Alba swimming underwater? O M G, a much better follow up to “The Deep” with Jackie Bissett). My current 4K player is number 3. This purchase was number 4 to see if number 3 was kaput. However, NEITHER PLAYER could play BluRay copies of The 4 season set of “Black Sails.” I even bought a second set of the 4 season set thinking the disks were made in China with lead. No joy. Just on a hunch, I tried the BluRay disks on the the BluRay player in my Airstream trailer. Tah Dah! It worked perfectly. UNLIKE, the roll out of BluRay players which not only played legacy DVDs, BluRay played them BETTER! Thus, it appears that these new 4K players are not totally effective in playing BluRay disks. Better buy a simple BluRay player and thank your lucky stars you have an extra HDMI outlet on your TV.

Best 4k Blu ray player on the market and built to last! I spent the extra money not only on the upgraded features built the durability of the device as well. Haven't come across a disc it couldn't detect yet and the picture quality is excellent.

This Sony Blu-Ray player brings to life, along with my 4K TV, a fantastic picture. The 4k experience is tops and Sony brings it to life in their products. I highly recommend this Blu-Ray player for those who want to experience the 4k brilliance in movie watching.
