We gifted our LG 4K Blu Ray to our daughter and decided to buy a Sony to match the style of the Sony 55" OLED XBR we had just purchased from Best Buy. We shopped on the Best Buy website, found the right player and picked it 20 minutes later. Looks great plays beautifully.

Easy to use; a little bit of work to get all the initial settings correct, but once it is set up, it just works without problems. Upscaling of older CDs is high quality. Using as upgrade in revamped Home Theater- I'd buy again.

The Sony-UBP-X800M2 is a excellent UHD blu- ray player. I have recently added this unit to my home theater system and the movie picture is amazing. The sound is great as well.

It's good build quality but mine has froze up a few times and would only reset by unplugging it. Picture quality seems no better than my older Samsung 4K player which has never froze up. , but the Sony does play more audio formats. Not sure I would buy it again.

Works very well. Good for viewing discs, Netflix and YouTube. Even displays Netflix 4K better than previous model.

This works great. The picture and sound are much better than my old player. I don't have a 4K TV yet so can't comment on that part. Easy to set up. Only drawback is that it is not region free.

Never disappointed in products from Sony. They could be years old and still seem brand new. This player allows us to enjoy movies and shows we have on DVD that aren’t on cable or streaming services. All while upscaling them to 4K or near 4K to enjoy on our “big screen”.

This is by far the best 4k player on the market unless you need a bunch of legacy connections then get the 1100es. But this one gets the job done right with the sound and picture quality. I generally don’t like Sony but this player, they did it right.

Sony mid level blu-ray player, X800M2, is an excellent buy. Has the best video qualities of high priced players and still delivers quality audio capability. Best Buys prices are very competitive.

No issues after 2 months of use. Very happy with purchase. Easy to setup.

This machine is large and heavy, but it works great. I have no issues at all with it. My main issues are with the remote. The player is expensive and well-made, but the remote is pretty lame. The remote is small, the buttons are even smaller, and it feels cheap overall. I'm used to a LOT better from Sony remotes.

From the first day I bought this I had problems with it. The player had glitches from the get go. Rather than elaborate on the glitches, suffice to say that I had to call Sony and they graciously replaced it with another player that has played beautifully since day one.

I love the build quality, very sold. Drawer opens perfectly. Unit is extremely quiet. Picture is perfect on my OLED TV. Only complaint, you have to toggle on/off Dolby Vision (in settings) when you want to watch a source with/without Dolby Vision. This included Blue Ray disks and Netflix. For the money, this is a great player.

I bought this about a month ago. I actually first bought the model below and returned it for this model when it went on sale a week later. I am pleased with the sturdiness of this unit in comparison. I have used it several times and am happy with the picture quality. I would recommend.

Easily 4 1/2 stars, I just never rate anything a perfect score. from a picture standpoint this player is great for a the price on sale at $249. From a navigation standpoint, I really can't comment. I care about picture quality and this player more than delivers, great matchup to my LG OLED tv

So far so good. Picture is amazing. Only using the one output but I guess could be better using the dedicated hdmi for video and audio if your setup that way

This player will play every DVD except outer regions, I have a player for those. Nice clear picture. Slim design.

Excellent DVD we needed a 4 k player and the Geek squad installed it for us.

I purchased this to replace an Oppo and couldn’t be happier. Plays my massive collection of FLAC and DSF from a USB HDD without issue and produces beautiful video from Blu-ray or streaming.

Good build quality, excellent picture and great sound. Was very impressed by how sturdy this machine is. This DVD player is a bit heavier than most of the other DVD players on the market which is fantastic, as most of the lightweight junk on vibrates too much. Not this player.
