This is the second Sony 4K player I have purchased. I upgraded to this one from the previous model. Overall, a good unit. My only criticism on this one vs the previous model I had was this one only come with amazon prime and Netflix. Whereas the previous unit would allow me to add multiple apps.

I am still happy with the performance! This is replacing same model that I had for about 10 years.

Sounds great... worth the purchase. Only problem is that it goes on when the TV is turned on or when we look at certain features. It would be best to just use it all the time...on our Sony 80j OLED 65 incher.

Great picture, but I have experience some of the picture lock that has been often reported on this unit online. I found it to be linked to dirty DVDs; unit is very sensitive and operates best with very clean discs.

Recently bought this to replace a player that mysteriously would not play the main audio channel for a movie—I could have the soundtrack in several other languages, or with the commentary (all Dolby Audio), but not the original audio for the movie itself (DTS HD MA). I chose this player because it supposedly has SACD capability as well. Turns out it DOESN'T, even though the manual and the setup menu suggests otherwise. It will only play the CD layer—I just confirmed this with Sony. Which is too bad—for a moment there, I thought they had finally got one right. On the other hand, my main problem was solved, and the remote has a much better layout than the old one.

Amazing quality, upgraded from the x700 and wow the sound is so much better on my surround sound system!

Easy setup, great picture quality and top notch sound. Bonus is it will play SACD’s and DVD-Audio discs. What’s not to like?

I had the UBP X800, sent it back due to audio/video hmdi port was not working. I return that one and got the 800M2. I had the same problem with this player. I finally figured out what was the problem and I am completely satisfied with the player. The connections and setup of the player was easy. I wish I could get the other players back, so I could check issue. That player also worked well. The 800M2 has a cleaner interface. The display has 4 icons to navigate through. The firmware happens easily, you accept the update and it goes. So I have one hmdi output to my soundbar and the other to the reciever. The player does have one digital out. The cabinet is solid and thin. The only thing that need attention is explaining what each option on the screen means. Some option are not clear when to use them.

This is the third model Sony 4K Blu Ray player. One of them being an all region player and another a gift. Excellent performance on one of the best brand players around. And easy to use. I recommend this model 100%!

Gorgeous streamlined look...excellent sound and picture performance...special features with streaming services are a bonus. 4k and 5 stars.

Has great audio and video when playing ultra blu-rays, i like the bluetooth feature also. I just power up the player when playing cds and listen with bluetooth headphones, and I don't have to turn on the av receiver.

This Sony 4k Player goes beautiful with your 4k HD TV. Watching 4K movies brings entertainment to the next level. The colors and scenes are very realistic and the sound audio is high definition. I totally recommend this Sony 4K Player.

I really like this DVD/CD player. It not only provides an excellent picture but reproduces outstanding sound quality from my huge library of Compact Discs. A trifle expensive but well worth the price in terms of performance.

This had an awesome picture. I kept having and loss of sound and sometimes loss of picture so I returned it, but later found out it was my cable and not the player. I bought an upgrade of this player and had the same problems with it until I changed the cable. Now it works great.

Purchased the most expensive Blu Ray player after advice from employee. Wasn't advised I needed HDMI cord (I originally came in the store to purchase a HDMI cord for my DVD player. After talking with an employee, purchased Blu Ray player instead of just getting a cord. At no point, did employee advise that the MOST expensive one didn't have a cord. Had to drive back to the store 40 miles round trip)

Sony - UBP-X800M2 - Streaming 4K Ultra HD Hi-Res Audio Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-Ray Player was a good purchase. It plays both old DVD's (Blu-Ray or not) plus obviously the newest DVD's which look great on the TV.

Upscaling from old Blu-ray disc's made it worthwhile to purchase this UBP streaming 4K Ultra!

Fairly decent for the price Ordering picking up and hooking up a new DVD player was A very good experience but now I have a problem I have tried to contact someone to help me figure out what is wrong and that has been impossible have tried to contact by phone numerous times

Have only used it a few times and haven’t even touched on all of its features, but was easy to set up and plays perfectly. My goal was to spend more on a DVD player in hopes that it will last longer than my last 3 purchases.

Excellent 4K Blu-ray player. Picture quality is flawless and sound quality is great. I have only positive experience with this player and at this price, I highly recommend this product
