I replaced my UBP X800 with the UBP X800M2. I am happy with the change. The only thing I have to criticize is the Dolby Video Setting. You have to physically turn the setting on or off depending on the Video format of the disc. You think an Entertainment Leader such as Sony would think to offer an Auto Setting for Dolby Video, instead of having to manually turn the setting on and off.

So far it has done an excellent job with my 4K tv. We have only used it to play movies and in the future we may use the streaming option since our tv is somewhat older and won’t allow some additional app downloads.

After i assembled the player to my Sony system, it played very awsome sharp picture and excellent audio quality. I had no problems playing my 3D movies as well. The 3D quality is much better on a 4K screen as well. Excellent product!!!

This player was given as a gift and connected to a 85" 4k display. The first thing noted by the recipient was the superb build quality... built like a tank! Very happy with this purchase!

While I did enjoy the build quality and the metal chassis, it was noisier than other 4k players when playing a 4k disc. I ended up returning it and trying another brand.

I love the Sony 4x blu-ray player! It is plug and play so no worries getting it to work. The picture quality is crystal clear. I recommend!

It is silent and heavier than I expected. Does play dolby vision as well as dolby atmos. Not 5 stars because on my 2017 LG C7, dolby vision makes the blacks grey and not black as OLEDS are meant to be. But for LED Tv’s and newer OLEDS, it is perfect!

Once I bought a Sony tv and receiver, it felt only natural to add a Sony 4K player. I have not been disappointed. No lags like with the old 4K player. Picture looks crisper also. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this for 4k capabilities and Dolby Vision. Unfortunately, It was past return date when I noticed about 80% of my 4k discs freeze. Blu ray and dvds play fine. Everything else about this player is great. I've since learned that freezing is a common problem for Sony 4k players. I'm gifting this to someone who's not in to 4k.

Not worth the price of $300. Personally, i don't see much of a difference between a Blu Ray disc being played on a 4K TV and a 4 K disc being played. It is made sturdier than the cheaper Sony 4K disc player as of the time of this writing.

Great 4K Blu-Ray player at a low price point! This is SONY at it’s best. The only models that may perform (maybe) even better (slightly) would be a Sony-ES 4K Blu-Ray deck. This one is also wonderful up-scaling DVD’s or 2K Blu-Ray close to 4K visually and sonically. I recently purchased the BEST OLED Tv to date,unparalleled, (65 in Sony Master series XR 4K OLED A-90-J. WOW! I just upgraded my AV system to these, and along with a SONY-es AVR receiver (5600 receiver), I suddenly have an IMAX class Family/AV theatre room (with Legacy Audio Classics (front), Paradigm Sub-woofer, and center,with ADS (circa 1990) rear surround speakers. An unbeatable dream system for me and my family. Bob in B.R.

Best picture and upscaling of my old dvds for the price. It can play all my media and the remote is very user friendly. Pairs well with my sony tv and has a small footprint in my media set up

I had a blu-ray player that was very old so this is a major upgrade. The audio from this device made my speakers come alive. Rewatching movies is a pure joy. Since I mostly watch concerts, the player is an incredible addition to my theater system

Simply the best and most dependable DVD player out there. I have three of them, one of them is over 5 yrs old and I’ve never had a glitch, glimmer or sneeze. All work perfectly!

The performance of this player is great in regards of the cost. It will do the job for the regular use. It makes much less noise than the Samsung one. The design is a bit bulky but I care more about durability rather than design.

This 4K HDR bluray player exceeded all of my expectations. It was a plug & play replacement for my previous unit which was not a 4K unit. It integrated into my home theater system and performs flawlessly.

This is a great DVD blue ray player. It works great with your Sony TV. This a allows a universal remote with the TV when paired with a Sony TV. This player is great If your do not have a sound system. If you do, look at a higher end version.

I returned the 700 & upgraded to the 800M2. Glad I did! Overall a much better machine. Worth the extra $.
