It was on sale at a significant discount and it works perfectly with my TV. TV already has streaming so I have not tried that function.

The price is only slightly higher than the basic 4K ones, but you get Sony quality and extremely solid build quality!

Basically a plug and play set up. Picture and sound quality are excellent. Easy to connect to our wireless internet for streaming content.

This one does and the quality of video and audio is excellent both for streaming and for playing of Blu-Ray.

Had problems with playing brand new Blu-Ray disc, not to mention 4K Blu-Ray disc. Haven't had a problem with the Sony. The picture quality is outstanding.

Remember, movies are filmed on Sony cameras... makes sense to decode using Sony equipment I’d you want to see the movies as intended!

Primary complaint is doesn't always connect audio when it connects HDMI. Have to cycle through inputs to get it to pick up the audio. There are probably better options.

And we sincerely apologize that you are experiencing intermittent audio connection issues with the HDMI, which is requiring you to cycle inputs. This is often a communication issue (or "handshake" error) between the player and the connected audio device (Sound Bar or AV Receiver). Please try the following troubleshooting steps, which are specifically designed to re-establish a reliable HDMI connection:
1. Re-Establish Audio Connection - First, ensure your audio device is actively "listening" for the player's signal: Confirm the input selector on your Sound Bar/AV Amplifier (receiver) is correctly set to receive the audio signals from the Blu-ray player.
2. Perform a Full Power Cycle - A complete power reset helps clear communication errors between devices: Please unplug the UBP-X800M2 Player and your audio system/TV from the wall outlet for 2 minutes. Disconnect the HDMI cable connecting the player to the audio system/TV, then firmly reconnect it. Plug the audio system/TV back into the outlet first, and then plug the Blu-ray player back in.
3. Try connecting the UBP-X800M2 Player directly to your TV and test if the audio issue persists when bypassing the AV/receiver or Soundbar

Makes all my dvds look great. My library Is still Useful with this DVD player. Upscale great works wonderfully, remote is really easy to use. Hookup was a breeze.

The color and clarity of both my Blu-Rays and 4Ks is noticeably better. Worth the price!
