The only downside is that its not water proof, so you have to be very careful if you are using it outside when the kids/adults are in the pool. Nonetheless, I don’t regret buying this speaker!

You are correct that the SRS-ULT1000 is not advertised as waterproof, so we recommend being mindful when using it around water, especially outdoors or by the pool. To help keep your speaker in great condition, avoid direct exposure to water and ensure it's placed in a dry, stable location whenever possible.
If you're interested in speakers specifically designed for water resistance, you might consider our ULT FIELD series such as the SRS-ULT30, SRS-ULT50, or SRS-ULT70, which feature enhanced portability and water resistance, making them ideal for poolside or outdoor use. Amazing sound and features, but not portable

Pretty heavy, but the attached wheels help alot. I gave a 3 because it does not have a battery like best buy advertises. It has to be plugged in, and because of this i may return.

Good speaker bad for karaoke

I was excited buying it for Christmas to replace my old karaoke system but it doesn’t do as well for the voice part. When I have more time maybe I’ll try adding more to it to make it better. I love karaoke but it disappoints for that would definitely recommend just for music though. Maybe if you don’t normally do karaoke and only used cheap karaoke machines in the past you wouldn’t notice or care but since that’s what I wanted it for I’m not very happy with it. I use it just for back porch fun with family and friends so don’t think I expected bar or venue quality but I did expect more from it.

The lighting show the speaker offers I feel personally is just right it’s not overdone. The only problem I have with my particular speaker is the power button sometimes it’s unresponsive but it might just be with my speaker only.
